Thank you, Bag of Magic Food and EscapePlan9.I have uploaded it. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/761/Star%20Ocean%20%28J%29.smv I got ruby because I will make Berserk Ring from it. You can manipulate luck about encounter only when you run after Milly. It seems that it is impossible to manipulate luck about encounter except that time.

Looks good so far. I like how you've optimized the battles by switching between characters rapidly. I always hated when the AI would just stand there while I did all the attacking, or when the AI would waste their MP on terrible spells and techs for the situation. One question though: What makes you determine when you will run from a random encounter or not? Are you basing it on how quickly you can kill the enemies? The amount of experience you receive? A combination of those?

All those fights he fights are required battles (believe it or not). There's small story scenes which occur after each of them. And yes, the run looks very good so far. I like how you placed yourself to hit many enemies at once with your characters. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the run, if it keeps the same quality throughout.

When I had Ratix at a certain intervals or to the counter direction during running after Milly, I noticed that encounter points change or it don't exist momentarily. Then I did the same action when they went to Mt Metox. Encounter points change, but I couldn't prevent encounter. I did the same action at different places in another data, but I couldn't either.

I think both of those are important. Ratix need to be level 7 before hideout of pirate. Because he gets Gurenken, and Velcant's weakness is fire. But I'm thinking of going to disused mine of Metox in order to get Dwarven Sword ahead of there. I'm sorry my English is poor, and I'm sorry if my answer is irrelevant. I should study English harder...

Your grammar is perfect, though.

I understand the initial few battles are required (and not random encounters anyway), but on the way to Mt. Metox, fuzi has a few random encounters. Usually fuzi runs from the random encounters, but occasionally he decided to kill the enemies. I was curious his criteria for running from enemies versus eliminating the enemies if he's going to have random encounters.

Yes, those two Fellworm battles are required battles as well.

I thought only one of them were required. The one where after you kill them your group mentions to be careful about their eggs sticking on you.

I completed the movie to hideout of pirate. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/777/Star%20Ocean%20%28J%29.smv I found the glitch that you can skip random encounter. It occurs when moving to the following area and encounter occur at the same time.(playing back music from the first then.) But it seems to be used only where the name of place shows on the screen. I used it to skip the battle except shadow flower and three slimes. You can run away quickly only in shadow flower battle, and I gained experience and Fol in three slimes battle. Because I get Ratix to be level 12, and I need to gain money for ships fare and skills. The more the participation member, the more quickly you can run away from battles. Therefore, I returned participation member to three people. I got rainbow diamond because I'm thinking of associating Marvel and I will get her to customize Holy orb. But I would reconsider that.

Looks great so far. I hope it would be possible to pick up that necklace from the Cat girl to get her later. But I think the way is to long for a Speedrun. So it will be impossible to do in a TAS. :-( This is my favourite character. She looks so cute. PS: <--- see my Avatar. ;-)

Ocarina, actually. But yeah, I wish her to be included in the movie too… I'll create an AVI of the progress so far.

Oh, ok. Ocarina. Was to long that I played it in english. Have forget what it was. But now I remeber, that you must play it in the first town after you write Ocarina.

Would have expected you to remember her musical tendencies after choosing her as the avatar... :) EDIT:

Looks good. Were you planning to get any ougis, specifically the Shichisei one for Ratix? Shichiseisouhazan is more or less the cheapest single ougi in the game...

I like cat and kitten, and I like Perisie too! But it is regrettable that associating her takes long time. Therefore I won't associate her, sorry...

I won't get Shichisei Ougi. Because I must go on to C rank of arena in order to get it, and it takes long time. I would use Suzakushougekiha. PS:I can't forward the movie this week. Because I must study the examination of the university. Graduation depends on it.

Hmm. I was wondering, how does learning Ougis via anger explosions work? Assuming you have any to begin with (which you will at some point) for characters you plan on using (which is not as certain), do you get one randomly if you manage to learn one via an AE, is it determined by how much you have used the prerequesite(sp?) waza before that, and do you need a specific amount of uses to even be able to learn an ougi that way? Because of the extent the most characters will probably end up dying, I think it might be useful to get any ougis that way, assuming you'll end up using any and you don't need to hike up the affection rates in some time-consuming way to even get any anger explosions to begin with.

Anger explosion? What's that… Something related to the affection ratings?

When a character has a high enough affection rate with another character (I don't know exactly how high though, default might be enough but higher rates make it more likely) and the said second character is killed in battle, the first character has a chance of getting an anger explosion which increases their attack by some absurd multiplier (double usually) and also has a chance of learning any ougis in progress, assuming there's any available.

I have resumed forwarding the movie today. That reminds me. I forgot to used anger explosion... I played over Velcant Boss battle, and it is about 3.8 seconds faster than the first.
