I'm posting much later than ars4326, but I agree that it's admirable of you to apologize to us, even though you didn't have to. It makes the site a more positive place, and that's always a good thing. When I was in high school, everyone in 11th grade got together, opened up about their personal problems, and apologized to anyone they had hurt over the years. It made a world of difference in how we treated one another. Also, I support the gender choice options, with [Blank] as the default. Mine will likely be [Blank], but I think other members should be able to display their gender if they so wish. Maybe the gender field could be hidden altogether if the user lists it as [Blank].

If you like anonimity so much, you can go discuss TASing on 4chan.
That sentece made my day. Thank you.

What's your fb, honey? You are Hungarian, aren't you? Isn't Hungary the cradle of porn star actresses? ;) If you don't have fb, do you have a few last four credit card numbers to spare?

I don't know them, they don't do my chores, they don't pay my bills, so I don't have a single reason to give them importance. They're as important to me as the trash I dispose from my home regularly.
What if they paid your bills? P.S.: I'm catwoman.

I suggest using HTML5 range input for the gender field to not force the user to choose one of extreme values

I'd suggest people who feel they need such a feature and the need to advertise this about themselves as being meaningful to every discussion on this forum to go see a psychiatrist who can provide the proper support they need.

You can be a girl, sure. Or a woman if you prefer. If you think what you love or that you're a cat is really relavent to every discussion, you can put that info into your avatar, location, or signature.

I don’t see any special need in announcing it. It’s you who made it possible. So I just made a suggestion and started using your new feature. As it’s supposed to be used I guess.

As if I'd ever depend on them for that. I already have my own stability and independence.

Ever heard of Poe's law? If this was posted before in this thread (which would be likely, reading a few lines of it) I apologize.

I understand your difficulty, I imagine that post of mine made your sarcasm detector's needle snap right off with tremendous force.

Well... I barely know about anything regarding Edgar Allan Poe's works (even if most people may know about them), so I didn't really get the reference... ;///; Sorry 'bout that! EDIT: ...ugh, I said Edgar Allan Poe while it was actually Nathan Poe. Well, this comes to show how little I know about this stuff. I'm feeling just so embarrassed right now I want to cry... T-T Hey Nach... you're not thinking bad things of me, are you...? Please tell me you're not... ;w;

Since this trainwreck of a thread is all about gender, I guess this post is somehow related.

Depends what you mean by bad things. If you mean do I think I will kidnap you and place you in my torture basement, then probably not. If you mean do I think your posts entertain me, then definitely yes.

Good to see we've got somewhere after all. I didn't really like the symbol placement, but I'm keeping it blank anyway so whatever. I also agree on locking this.

Yes. Now that we managed to reach the goal, perhaps it's better to lock this after all.
