This looks good! It's nice to see an updated run of Samurai Pizza Cats :-) It's a fairly small margin of improvement, which makes the old run more impressive.
It is a shame that you have to take so much time in the last stage to get 2 Ninpo powerups. However, the route looks good. It's a surprisingly simple shortcut in Stage 6.
One question: in Stage 5 (I think), you dig upwards with one cat before switching back to Batcat. You dig a little bit to the left of the breakable rocks. Why didn't you dig upwards at the edge of the dirt, right next to the breakable rocks?

Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.)
Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html)
Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature!

I believe we should switch to the English title with this submission.

Well we can be correct name or the name we provided on the previous TAS or use a bootleg English title or use the English title to the Anime.
Welp feos' option is the third one.
Samurai Pizza Cats
Well to be exact it's Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee but hey whatever.

Why you just can't use both names:
something like:
Samurai Pizza Cats / Kyatto Ninden Teyandee
because when someone uses search, it can write any name.
I suggest we stay on the properly romanised Japanese title; that is, Kyatto Ninden Teyandee. The game was never released outside of Japan anyway.
Besides, the game title on the previous publication is wrong, as it really should be the above, not Cattou Ninden Teyandee (which would be written as カッ党忍伝てやんでえ in Japanese instead of キャッ党忍伝てやんでえ).

I agree with fsvgm777's suggestion of the name. Cattou Ninden Teyandee was the wrong Romanization.
And Spikestuff, you're right; it should be two authors.

This leads me to ask: how much of this run was copied directly from my old run? I ask, because outside that one section in level 6, it looks identical to mine. I thank you for pointing out my ignorance in that one section, but if all you did was edit in that one improvement, I'm afraid I'll have to insist on co-authorship at the very least.
In terms of other improvements, I think there are some sections I switch to Batcat a little early on, leading me to lose time on some ladders; however, we're talking one frame per ladder, so it's pretty insignificant.
Anyway, to answer the question at hand: I only needed to move to the right for one frame to clear the dirt; digging where I did allows me time to move forward while winding up Catton's punch to break the block. Also, the rapid dig technique seen later in the run might be a tad slower here, because it slows running speed down a bit, and that's a looong piece of dirt to dig through that way. I honestly never tested it.
In short: Good job finding the improvement, but please give credit where credit is due, and holy crap is my run really nine years old now?!Edit: Okay, I just noticed you altered the beginning of level 7 a bit: you flinched at the very start. Was there a reason for this?
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

Old movie desyncs on newer version emulator on some levels (mostly when ninpo should drops from egg), so I've adjusted some buttons.
About changes, I've already says that it's improvement of previous movie. I've downloaded it and made that improvement.

I've not write that it's my run. You may see your as author in movie file metadata, so I've not steal your movie. :) Just beat a time record.
About how it's published on site, I don't know system.

The metadata is nowhere near enough, since hardly anyone who watches this movie is going to check it. You need to actually edit the submission to include him as a co-author. Where it says "Author's Nickname" you'd write "Ti_ and Ferret Warlord". Considering most of the input is his, I suggest you do this as soon as possible.

Ok, done. Now, I don't know the original Japanese names for some of the other cats, like Batcat, so I left them out of the description. That can be fixed by any editor though.

I loved Samurai Pizza Cats! I had no idea there was a video game that never made it to North America. It's hard to tell without playing it, but it looks like it sucks about a thousand times less balls than the Transformers game that never made it to North America. It reminds me more of Mega Man than Ninja Gaiden, though.
It's cool that you can even play as members of the Rescue Team, though Bat Cat kind of stole the show. I definitely saw Meowzma and Spritz, but I'm not sure if I saw General Catton. From the main team, Speedy and Polly were obvious, but I'm not sure if I saw Guido. I love that the bosses are giant mechs, as well as the Big Cheese and, I think, Bad Bird.
That was seriously nostaglic, and just an entertaining TAS in general. Easy yes vote, even though it no longer needs it.
