Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story is a video game based off a movie that tells the story about martial artist/film actor Bruce Lee posthumously.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Bizhawk 1.6.0
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Uses hardest difficulty

Comments

  • The Super Nintendo version is picked over the Genesis version for it filling your bar of meter for a perfect round in the next fight.
  • This run focus primarily on using the nunchuks for it's great damage and excellent meter gain, and reserving the foot stomp for finishing opponents where it's faster
  • The nunchuk mode is only available until the bottom bar hits the second line. That is why the first fight only uses heavy kicks and the stomp move.
  • If you are wondering why sometimes we are not hitting opponent right away after knockdown is because they have a grace period. Where they can't be attacked.
  • AI manipulation was involved in position and time you press an attack to make them never block and eat alot of hits.

Thanks for the encode. I can see how the choice of the SNES version is definitely faster, since it allows you more use of nunchuks. However, this also makes the fights incredibly repetitive. I'm also not really sure what the point of the bonus rounds is... are you supposed to attack the bars that you just dodge? I have to say No for entertainment.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. I have definitely seen more boring TASes. Perhaps not the most entertaining TAS in existence, but pretty entertaining nevertheless.

You are supposed to hit the pads on the opposite sides of the bars. This makes the bars spin faster, so it becomes harder to avoid them. This gives you chi, which is a way to stock up between fights. However it also gives you points, which have to be counted down, so that's why it's not done in this movie. You can compare with the movie I made which aimed for entertainment: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdjeur_genesis-dragon-the-bruce-lee-story_videogames
