Hello guys and girls. First off, this thread is not about a TAS. I came here from The Spriters Resource because I need your help with ripping maps from The Urbz: Sims in the City for the GBA and/or NDS. You might think its strange that I ask for help here. Well, no one on The Spriters Resourse was able to help me so I try it here. Basically I need a gameshark code which allows me to teleport so I can rip parts of maps which normaly won't be visible. I did some research, but all I found was a gameshark code for The Sims Bustin' Out. This is where I found it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/917846-the-sims-bustin-out/faqs/27250
----------Position While on active map 8200DD3A xxxx 8200DD3E yyyy ----------
Of course this code doesn't work in The Urbz. However, both games seem to use the same or a similar engine, so maybe you can find a code which will work. If you want I will credit you on the sprite sheets. PS: I don't know if it matters in this case but I use the PAL version.

Try disabling some of the layers of the game by pressing "Ctrl + (0-9)" on vba. This should help make your life easier. :P

I believe you missunderstood me. I need a way to change the position of my character to get the whole map. Look at this for exemple: You can clearly see unreachable parts in the top left and at the stairs at the bottom. http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/54235/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/52719/ Oh and it dosn't have to be a gameshark code, cheat engine or something is fine as well.

I just tried to find RAM values for position in this game. There are at least 100-200 findable addresses that seem to represent position, but nothing happens if I freeze them to a certain value. This is wonkier than I currently can handle.

Right, Xizzle is one of the most important things in the TAS, Xizzle Rewards you this depending on your Urb (Sim). Each of these cost 3 Beads each (Get a Relationship above 75 to get Beads).
Eager Eager Hippo - Hunger Erosion Slows 30%
Inzombiac - Sleep Erosion Slows 30%
Nemesis - Everyone gets +6 Relationship except one with -100

Little Piddly Diddle - Bladder Erosion Slows 30%
Sweet Smell - Hygiene Erosion Slows 30%
Sell Out - Get §10000

Play It Off - Comfort Erosion Slows 30%
Mantis Rupture - Fun Erosion Slows 30%
All Ups On - +1 Relationship Point when talking to the other sex

G'd Up - Reduce Social Degradation by +1
Jibba Jabba - Talk option with random effects
Nerd Level 5 - All skills get +1 point

Chillin' Like a Villain - All motives slows 10%
Livin Large - Earn 20% more money when playing games
The Questions for your Urb and the effects they cause are here:
Question 1:
A) Pizza and Games - Eager Eager Hippo
B) Stay Home and Sleep - Inzombiac
C) Prank Call People - Nemesis

Question 2:
A) Drink OJ - Little Pilly Diddle
B) Play Street Ball - Sweet Smell
C) Go to Mall - Sell Out

Question 3:
A) Chilly Pie - Play it Off
B) Krazy Klaw - Mantis Rapture
C) Smooth Money - All Ups On

Question 4:
A) Show off Bling - G'd Up
B) Tell Joke - Jibba Jabba
C) Outwit Bouncer - Nerd Level 5

Question 5:
A) Yes - Chillin' Like a Villain
B) No - Livin' Large
Source: GameFAQs
So blindly choosing is definitely not an option. My choices which I think would be best is: B (Inzombiac), B (Sweet Smell), B (Mantis Rupture), C (Nerd Level 5) and A (Chillin' Like a Villain) Also looks like you guys had some positioning issues. Left/Right Positioning: 0200DD4A Up/Down Positioning: 0200DD4E Both are 2 byte values.

According to your post in the french area you haven't played much of it. According to my input (just so I can explain what I mean by not much) 11000 frames is only completing the first minigame to get Simoleons and being in a convocation with Kris. Thanks for the luck. That was sarcasm btw about the luck.

Currently trying to optimize the minor issue (bed placement) and trying to remove any desync due to a mistake about going to bed. (October 20th 2014) lua script Link to video User movie #19131590875422490 Edit: And here's the 3rd and hopefully final revision at the intro: User movie #19132605080507763

I agree, it's surprisingly fun to watch. I'm especially looking forward to future minigames being TASed.

This ain't dead, the project is still going. See, I'm on the right track and nothing will slow me dow- Edit: Just realized my input for WIP1 is absolute garbage in conversations fixing that in hex editing, this will take time. When Chapter 1 is actually complete I'll release that as only the first part of Chapter 1 done not the entirety. Edit 2: Ha, ha, kill me now. I just found another conversation improvement within Sims to what I have now in it, the delay for the completion of Chapter 1 is going to be sometime within this year. >.> Edit 3: Restarting, found a mistake in the questions which could've saved time but I ignored it.

Bit of an update to the first area: Link to video Notes: I should've selected Sell Out not Sweet Smell. That was an error. This was done on the mGBA core. There's a curve to getting this game to not desync like crazy when using that core. endrift is looking for a solution. Still trying to solve which choice is best for first question as well. Sleep is something that goes quickly but restores as quick. Hunger should match eating. Nemesis well pray you get it on Bigbucks.

I will echo what others have said and say this is surprisingly fun to watch. Keep up the good work! I'll definitely be interested to see the final product, and hopefully the desync issues will be worked out soon.

Any update on this? Mgba has been updated a few times since the last wip of this and maybe it was fixed. Is the ds version the same?
