Hello I know this is a stupid question, but I made a Genesis TAS on bizhawk, and I want to submiss it. But I watched the rules (too late) and I saw that only GMV movie are allowed. So can I convert a BKM movie to a GMV one ? Or do I have to run it again ?

That's interesting. If you made a publishable TAS on BizHawk, maybe the better course of action is to allow it to be submittable? What game? And does it really emulate correctly?

The game is Micro Machines 2-Turbo Tournament, I do the 27 races in 1 lap in Time Trial mode (that game is in TAS ideas list) in 14:51.10.

Can you upload your file on userfiles (or PM me it, if you don't want it public for whatever reason). I'd like to see how well it emulates and the overall TAS quality The reality is that your movie is VERY unlikely to sync on GENS if it were converted (no converter exists currently of course). So the more practical solution is to support GenesisHawk submissions.

What about the other way around? Does a GMV to BKM converter exist?

It is built in, and has been since the release of 1.0... Just drag and drop your .gmv onto bizhawk, done. Does it work? Well, nobody has used it since the 1.0 release, so yeah. Let me know if you run into any issues.

The conversion does not appear to work properly. Second player is not working. Tested against SoR2 and Gunstar Heroes. 6 Button games like Ecco (why?!) do convert but due to lag, will not sync (I think). Using r6038. Before the new GenesisHawk, 6 button TASes would not convert. So that's positive, at least.

BizHawk seems to store the input in an "UDLRABCS" pattern, but a gmv to bkm converted file does it in an "UDLRSABC" pattern, i.e. the converted bkm will perform the wrong inputs.

Thanks for the report. I believe I have fixed this on trunk (but didn't really have any time to test it.)
