Hi, I wanted to do my first Windows TAS, game is Pekka Kana 2. But I have problem because game have on start setup window, where i can select resolution, music options and language (and it freezes up, so i can't do anything :( ). Does Hourglass support this windows? If someone say it doesn't support, game have source code released so it can be fixed i think, but I have no programming skills :(

What Windows version? IIRC, for most of the games that can even gotten to run, one wants Windows XP in virtual machine. Also, AFAIK, Hourglass has various options that can affect if game runs or not.

Windows XP SP3 32-bit (customized one microXP), I just downloaded Windows XP today just for this TAS (I use Linux Mint 15 on my PC) and I run it in VirtualBox :D.

Hourglass does not currently support any native Windows UI controls (drop down menus, checkboxes, etc). If you are not sure, post a screenshot.

Yeah, that is what i mean. The only thing I think can be done at this point, is simply editing source code of the game which was released few years ago (but i don't think any of people there have time to this) or wait for new release of Hourglass or any other program like this.

It's possible important components for Hourglass to function correctly were optimized out of microXP, really try a full version.

If the startup setup screen is not particularly complicated, someone skilled in assembly could probably edit the program so that instead of starting with that screen it immediately proceeds as though it had already happened. (Not me though, I don't know a thing) EDIT: The other thing you can try is contacting the developer of the game and asking how hard it would be to do. Maybe they still have the source code and it will be a 5 minute job, who knows until you ask? http://www.pistegamez.net/index.html

I've contacted one programmer of PisteGamez via e-mail, but i don't know if he reply to me, because they website and games aren't updated, and last forum post from main programmer is from 2010.
