I am compiling a list of the best video game trailers. Note, I am not talking about best games by any means, just best trailers. Here is my list, please tell me what I am missing. Dead Island's trailer was so impressive that they want to make a movie based on it. Not based on the game itself, mind you. Based on the trailer. If that doesn't make it the best video game trailer ever, I don't know what does... :)

A zombie movie that plays backwards? I could see that working.

I always liked the Jackal trailer from Far Cry 2. http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/ivopa2/far-cry-2-exclusive-jackal-trailer

Dead Island is a no-brainer, but I also found the Purity-trailer for Deus EX: Human Revolution to be pretty damn terrifying and cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcsd6mJ3R08

I've always been partial to this one, having seen it hundreds of times when the game first came out. It's more of a commercial than a trailer though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhB8XG9_5Rc

No, but his shades are definitely a few shades too dark. On topic: How could you forget the best commercial of all time? SHE KICKS HIGH!

Link to video Time Crisis II attract. It's technically not a trailer, but it kinda is. Sorry about how shoddy it looks. MAME doesn't emulate the game properly, yet.
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

Metal Gear Solid trailers, they're all awesome. The new Metal Gear revengeance trailers are awesome too, even though the game doesn't look like it's going to be so good. I also liked the old Zelda: Ocarina of Time trailer. I can't seem to find the one I remember though...

Not so much a trailer, but the 9 minute "gameplay video" of Watch Dogs from this year's E3 impressed the hell out of me.

It could be a trailer for a GOOD Starfox Adventures.

Games are starting to look quite realistic. I'm really wondering if it will look that good on the Xbox 360 also. (And... are you sure it's not just a pre-rendered FMV?)

To make TF2 trailers straight, TF2 has TEN trailers now. (Meet The Team series) You can simply find them.

The last part of the video is gameplay. It's hard to tell when the switch occurs, so you can't tell very easily if it's pre-rendered cutscenes or done using the in-game engine. But either way, it looks damn good.

Dead Island's trailer not on #1? Or even #2? 7th? Really? I know that everyone's entitled to their opinion, but seriously... (Also, "oh it also plays backwards, which is pretty cool." I have always wondered why everybody just says it plays backwards. It has backwards and forwards segments of the same scene, the backwards one starting from the end of the scene, and the forward ones starting from the beginning, and they meet in the middle. Now that is cool.)
