Open "lsnes-wxwidgets.exe" and in the "Select ROM" window click the top "..." and select your ROM. After your ROM is selected click "Open ROM" in the bottom left. This will open a window called "Project settings", there make sure that in the top left you choose "New project" (thats if you wanna make a new movie). Then finally click on "Start" (or "Load" if you load a movie).
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

I've also been having some issues with playing things in lsnes properly. I followed the instructions that masterjun mentioned, and the movie plays properly. However, I can't figure out how to set up some of the things I'd really like to have when watching movies, like: * enabling turbo mode for playback * hiding all the diagnostic info on the right side of the program during playback * changing the default directories for storing ROMs and movie files Can anyone help out with any of these? Thank you!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Hello, I am able to run a rom properly, I changed all the input to my joystick's, I am now able to play, yay! Though I haven't found out how to increase the size of the window (resolution). How do I make the window bigger? Thanks!

rr1: Configure -> Configure Emulator ... -> Scaling rr2: Configure -> Settings -> Video... From there one can control horizontal and vertical scale factors, scaling algorithm and screen rotation. This can also be used to make the screen smaller. Useful if core wants to output at huge resolution...

1) Speed -> Turbo 2) Bind Speed -> Turbo hold / Turbo toggle hotkeys. The turbo hold turboes when held, turbo toggle toggles between turbo and normal.

Configure -> Show status planel.

rr1: Configure -> Configure Emulator ... -> Advanced rr2: Configure -> Settings -> Advanced... The various Path settings there.

Crashed when closing the configuration window (there have been bugs of that type before)?

To make things a bit easier, I created an installer for lsnes, you can get it on the official page. The installer aside from not requiring 7-zip and asking you where you would like to install, also has the following changes: -Start menu entry is created with: --links to the GUI executables clearly labeled. --link to manual. --link to online information. -Manual is now windows friendly in terms of reading it. -Uninstaller is provided too.

Do you know the words "configure", "settings", "controllers" and "hotkeys"? It is always the same in every emulator, with a few exeptions.

Configure -> Configure hotkeys or even Configure -> Configure emulator -> Hotkeys Maybe you should learn basic menu navigation before starting to TAS...

It's the buttons that say start and select. >_>
