I remember that it were published long time. But now, i remember other thing. This is a comment of stanski. He had the idea of ​​collecting 1 emerald for each zone. I think that he chose the areas where it is easier to enter a special stage. In this way the movie would be more entertaining and a bit more diverse. What say you?

I think that idea might be fine for a movie whose goals are to get all emaralds and beating the game as quick as possible (better than getting everything in Emerald Hill Zones 1 and 2, since the fastest way through all the levels would never use super sonic. But a run whose goals are 100%, being able to use super sonic as early as Chemical Plant would be better, I think. Oh and great job with Chemical Plant! There was one loop, early in CPZ1, that you didn't jump in but maybe it wouldn't have saved time there?

While working in the area. Trying, slowly, for each loop, win the highest possible speed. I do not know, maybe in some other I could have won more speed.

Are you using the jump predictor in marzojr's Lua HUD? That makes it way easier, and faster, to find when it's most appropriate to jump off a slope.

Yea the selection of those levels was based purely on the known routes of the time and where it is most convenient to enter a special stage (since you already have 50 rings) for a human 100% run.

wow I had no idea of the LUA files, this shows me many useful data. With regard to the race, i have a remarkable improvement in Aquatic Ruin 1 (1:25::38 -> 1:06::12) 0:19:26 of improvement (1166 frames)

Mmmm are you sure that doing that by submit the movie (when it's completed), omit the fact that on some levels it was impossible to get a perfect bonus? I'm excited to continue this movie to end, but I not want that it be rejected for the reason that has an unfulfilled goal.

I don't know Felipe. Do you have a Camhack of Genesis so that you can see Tails off-screen? Because it really doesn't feel like your using tails to his full potential. Such as in Emerald Hill Zone 1, you don't have him go through the floor (by being off-screen) so that he can get you the rings in the ..floor..? @ 0:14->0:16 so that you don't need to back-track in there? As for your goals I reckon the following would be adequate; -Obtains "Perfect Bonus" in all possible levels *1 *1 - Some levels have rings in inaccessible places (Inside of objects, unreachable locations) due to old level layouts from during development. Subsequently ending up in it being impossible to achieve the "Perfect Bonus" in all levels.

Felipe, if your goals are stated properly, and achieved, and the run is sufficiently different from the other published categories, as well as entertaining and optimized, then you have all the ingredients you need for the movie to be liked and published :)

I still don't think that is adequate, because then you might as well zip through ARZ2, CNZ2, etc. since the goal can't be reached in those levels. Something like "obtains all free-floating rings known to be collectible in each level" (maybe worded better? :P ) would be more clear. Then, it can be explained that this has a side effect, in acts that don't have design oversights, of giving a "PERFECT BONUS" during score tally. (If anyone ever figures out how to get some of those bad rings, their run can eventually obsolete this run without changing goal wording.)

I'm not sure exactly you're talking about. keep in mind that tails can only grab rings that are slightly off screen.

I think that i could continue with AR2, although it is not possible to get a PERFECT BONUS in these areas, it's fun to see Sonic and Tails collecting all the rings (for me). These images show the rings of difficult access. A total of 19 rings. Only one of them can be taken. It must be very difficult to take all these rings (if these are reachable)

The pair in Aquatic Ruin may be possible to grab with Tails offscreen -- the pillar is a sprite, and these generally do not check collision with offscreen characters. The ones in Mystic Cave might be possible to take with Knuckles, which does not help you. Those in Oil Ocean 2 and Metropolis 2 (and those 6 more in each of these levels that you don't show) can't be taken without managing zips -- which I doubt is possible for most of them.

Here we're talking about an impossibility. The 2 rings in Aquatic Ruin may only be taken with Tails and in Mystic Cave can be taken with Knuckles. Would prefer to get PERFECT BONUS on Aquatic Ruin quickly without losing much time (if I can have to Tails available in the place), and that it would look something difficult, since Tails must be kept under water without drowning, and Sonic can take boots of speed at the time. Well, if I succeed, it would be really impressive to see the "Perfect Bonus" in a level where it seemed impossible to obtain.

Yupii! I have taken the 2 rings Aquatic Ruin. I guess that now I will try to continue with Aquatic Ruin Zone 2 and get PERFECT BONUS. Wish me luck, will I need! jijijiji

Tails can go through solid objects whilst he is off-screen. Not to mention if you jump very low whilst moving at speed you will fall through a slope (Just like how I did in the Emeralds run WIP). I know that he can only collect rings NEAR sonic, but AWAY from sonic he is able to clip through objects. Would this not help in some of the above situations being "impossible" ? If in Aquatic Ruin there is only those TWO rings, surely Tails moving faster than Sonic would allow him off-screen so he can get INTO that object? (I can't try at this moment, will do later)

Except that said hack won't have those impossible-to-reach rings :-p Regarding offscreen rings: when the game loads the rings in memory (it loads all of the rings in a level), it sorts them from left to right. When checking whether Sonic or Tails is grabbing a ring, the camera position is used -- both Sonic and Tails can collide with rings starting from camera X - 8 to camera X +328, regardless of Y position (this means from 8 pixels to the left of the screen to 8 pixels to the right of the screen). This ignores the camera's Y position -- meaning Tails can grab rings on the same vertical slice as the screen regardless of how far above or below the screen they are. tl;dr: The relevant address to watch is the camera X: $FFEE00 (2 bytes, unsigned); whenever Tails' X coordinate is anywhere from camera X to camera X + 320, he can grab rings.

I'm pretty sure the first thing marzo will do once he is done with his hack is to rape it badly with tools. He is making the hack non-TAS-friendly because of that. On a related note, let me stress that Sonic 2 XL would make for an awesome TAS.
