Hey everybody. I'm just wondering what OS most people use to make these movies. I know Bisqwit uses linux (which distro btw?)... but what does everybody else use here? I use osX for Mac -- one of the reasons I haven't recorded anything yet, haven't found any software for mac with recording software on it. What about everybody else? What do you use? -Ev

XP Pro, DOS 6.22, and Debian GNU/Linux. EDIT: I used to run BeOS, which I really liked a lot, but now I don't use it anymore.

I'm still on Windows ME, debating whether to upgrade to XP or just buy a new machine. This one's getting old and I could use a nice, spritely laptop. I had to move this old boy into my dorm room, and it wasn't easy.

The computer I'm on right now runs Win 98, and the other comp runs Win XP. However, I still remember the good old days of DOS and the not-as-good days of Win 3.1

My workstation runs on Windows XP as does my laptop. Then theres two older machines running Debian. One is in workstation-adomserver -use and the other is purely a server.

I switched from Win2k pro with SP4 integrated to WinXP with XP 2 integrated. It proved to be a stupid thing to do. Xp seems good in the beginning. Very fast and looks nice and all that. But after just a week or so it beginns to run like shit. Program crashes and extream resource usage.

I weep for those of you still on Windows ME. Microsoft was like "Hey, we have a pretty good OS, Win98, let's take out all the working parts and reprogram an entire OS 3 days before the millennium. That way we can say we invented an OS for the millennium!" Oy vey! Let's all have a moment of silence for feitclub and nifboy. Those poor fellows. -Ev PS, yes, fietclub time to get a new machine... only this time get a mac!
