Nope, no GameCube publications yet (4 submissions).
Of course, a surprise submission could come from somewhere, but based on what I have seen so far, this looks like very likely candidate for the first GC pub.
Do you not have Tails with you as you have done the levels out of order?

vvvv. I never realised they took that out of the DX version. In the Dreamcast version Tails is with you in Adventure mode at plot relevant points.

I don't have Tails because it's Adventure Mode, while completing the story. Even if I did the stages in the right order, I wouldn't have Tails disturbing helping me.

I looked at that yesterday (wondered about the same thing), seems like there is only The Lost World, Final Egg and the final showdown with Dr. Eggman.
Yeah, there are only Lost World, Final Egg and Egg Viper (last boss). I'm almost completing Lost World and it's like 5 seconds faster than the old TAS WR :P
I've TASed Final Egg before and got 45.48 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd587b-IzkQ ), so it'll be easy to TAS it again (I'll improve it for sure). And Egg Viper shouldn't be hard :P
Edit: 52.83 in Lost World, but without the gravity glitch strat. If I've done it, I'd get like 45-46 seconds, but it'd be much slower in real time (amount of frames).

I change mirror room strat, almost without jumping for much time. This allowed me get more than 4 seconds faster than you ;)
