He posted a TAS'd run of a map of Doom 2 done pacifist. Searched for it and found the same run, frame for frame on another guy's account, uploaded almost a year before. Notified the original owner. Also, one of his two accounts has the current TASvideos published 0-star SM64 uploaded. The pre-video watermark is gone, but the watermark text during the initial scene is still there; he does say the run is not his, but aside from the text actually edited into the video, no credit is given other than "this run is not mine". Also, and this is just a suggestion, but perhaps we should be making an off-topic thread about the Kaizo/Sketchhog issues and move the majority of this into that thread. As important as it is to spread the word so we can shut his antics down, we shouldn't be derailing this thread just for him. >_> EDIT: okay, my fault... The video isn't changed. I’ve found out that in Sonic 2 XL you can take monitors with negative vertical speed, which means that you can take Amy’s route in Emerald Hill 1. However, you will become very fat and incredibly slow.

Uh… What the hell happened to CPZ and ARZ1? Memory corruption allowed you to modify some value by just jumping around in the end of EHZ2?.. Or maybe you run back just enough for the capsule to get unloaded and breaking it every time «completes» the next act?.. And is this glitch possible to perform in HTZ2 or WFZ? By the way, here is my last job. It’s mostly optimized, excepting the very end (because I already saw that I reached my goal of 28 seconds). Found a possible zip, which I am going to test with feeuzz’s assistance. Link to video

The object responsible for the bonus countdown is also responsible for taking you to the next level. When it finishes counting down, it changes the level to the next and marks a flag that exits the main game loop at the end of the frame. The bonus countdown object also uses a predefined RAM address to do the bonus countdown (instead of using a segment of its OST). By spawning multiple bonus countdown objects, they will keep reseting the bonus countdown as they begin to countdown, so that all of them will finish the countdown on the same frame; technically, only one of them will finish it in one frame, the other ones will "inherit" the finished bonus. After this, there is a delay (which will go in synch for all of them) and then they all will execute the piece for 'get next level then set flag to exit main game loop'. The first object moves me to CPZ1; the second, to CPZ2; the third; to ARZ1 and the fourth to ARZ2. There is a catch in that the bonus countdown object spawns several auxiliary objects using the OST entries that come right after it if it is either unused or used by another bonus countdown object; so the bonus countdowns have to be generated sequentially (i.e., the 2nd cannot be in a slot before the 1st) and with enough space in-between the main bonus countdown and its auxiliary objects that fits all the other bonus countdown objects I plan to spawn. I use Tails to keep generating braking dust to ensure that. Also note that the score ticks faster and faster because there are multiple objects doing the countdown; this puts a limit to how many bonus countdown objects can be spawned. I think that better optimization of the braking patterns before returning to the capsule may allow another object to tick down, making it possible to skip ARZ2 too; I doubt it is possible to also skip CNZ1 using this method. In theory, it is usable in HTZ2 too; but since it is not possible to spindash from the capsule there, it is probable that only a couple of acts can be skipped at most.

He did, but I was lazy to find the input file and see the exact improvements. Anyway, my goal was simply to repeat the same in-game time in seconds, and it’s reached.

I prefer if you take some learnings from the runs I send you, and apply it to your own runs. If a certain situation ends up not being any faster it's not much of a big deal as long as you've put some effort in trying do it as fast as you can and understand the reason for why it's as fast as possible (something which I doubt is the case in the run I sent).

Friends, stop discussing my run, may I have some my own projects? And what’s the matter of this discussion if I got the same result in seconds (which was my only goal)? I realize that the last part could be done faster, without that braking which decreases my Y speed, and fall to the red spring faster, but I was simply lazy to do it in other way, because I saw that the previously made improvements allow me to loose some frames at that place and still get 0:28 with ease. Of course, when/if I redo mine part of mine and feeuzz’s cooperative TAS, I will watch your run once again, but, just FYI, the Tails run was made offline, and I could not go to TASvideos private messages and check your gmv.

This seems slightly unfair -- Hyper Sonic/Tails/Knuckles teaming up against poor Robotnik? What's he supposed to do? Maybe the hack should add a Hyper Robotnik so it's a fair challenge. ;)
