Why is Snes9x being ported to BizHawk? Is it going to replace the current bsnes core?

We also have pages about glitches and such on the wiki. Like PiePusher said, TASing Pikmin is NOT easy. You need to know every little thing about the game, if you want an optimized run. I'm no speedrunner, but I know the ins-and-outs of the game considerably well, so I'll try my best to help!
I think maybe making a Games resource page here to document TAS-related tricks would be helpful.

Cloning goombas requires a bob-omb (by re-grabbing it right as it explodes), and there are none of those until after the pole, which is the big problem. WDW water overflow would be a lot faster by reaching the crossover point in the downward direction, because then Mario doesn't have to make all those sidetracks to resurface for air, and can just wobble around in place between the wet and dry halves of the tunnel.
Is that theoretical or an actual 11 hour timesaver? :o

Apparently clipping to get the globe early makes another spawn later when it's needed.

Link to video 2nd storyline stage broken. I'm not sure does this count as clipping, nor do you actually need to move Hammy, but I couldn't seem to land there without her. Also doing this with Hammy is a dead end since you can't pickup things to break the sprinkler. On a sidenote, I also found a way to skip the stethoscope in one of the earlier parts by grabbing the calculator OoB, but I need to check if said scope will be needed later just in case.

I'm not sure how relevant this is to a TAS, but when watching back the run, I wondered how insta win can be used in Battle Frontier, which made led me to some questions: 1. Is this abusable in the Battle Palace? 2. It was mentioned 2 silver symbols can corrupted. Which ones? I know this would make it technically pointless since you still need to do the amount of floors/rounds + whatever gold needs to get the gold symbols, but... 3. Can the amount of floors/rounds for battle frontier be corrupted? 4. If the above is possible, what happens if you managed to get to the round needed for gold symbol without ever receiving a silver one? 5. Not exactly related, but assuming you used instawin for battle tower, is there even a limit for how many floors you can reach?

There's this weird issue with savefiles and playback it seems. ROM: 1065 Over The Hedge (EU) 1. Delete the savefile in battery folder 2. Run back this input file. 3. Before the level ends, make a savestate 4. You should see this screen: 5. Reload savestate 6. The above screen would now be gone. I'm not sure how useful reporting this would be given how progress for this emulator seems to have slowed, but hope it helps.

Been playing around with this game, and it seems quite fun. There appears to be a whole bunch of ways to clip into objects such as: 1. Using scenery to push you out 2. Using npcs to push you out (since they can wander everywhere when aggressive) 3. Using Verne's shell withdraw ability and get pushed out with the above 2 An example of such is here: Link to video edit: 2 things 1. During the mission when you're supposed to retrieve the globe, you can clip into the house and skip most of it. 2. If you try this again, you cannot clip in to skip since the globe will be replaced by another object. However when RJ throws the globe out and you retrieve it during a story mission, you skip said story mission. This can be used to skip the last mission and go directly to the ending, with the cost of getting 100% impossible. Technically the 100% is the any%, but this just glitches the game display.

That was quite clever abusing the wonky collision detection for the egg part. Also reading back, was this part:
There's actually only once when you can't use it and you'd want to (on any%) but its pretty well blocked by a person standing right in front of it. Even if you can get by them, I wouldn't be surprised if the transition zone had been removed for that period since it was supposed to be inaccessible. That happens elsewhere when you get to places you shouldn't.
ever checked to see if it works?

On your twitter, it mentions vivian softlock. This makes me wonder what that is and how many tricks have been found that aren't listed on the Game Resources page.

If you're going to edit screenshots, it was discussed for this movie to change the screenshot into something more suitable, but it was never done. Can you please do that?

I believe I have what you are looking for. http://www.mobiles24.com/downloads/s/569041-m1033-bounce_128x128 It was on old Nokia phones, I played it a few times on my old 2600. I hope this is what you wanted.
A youtube search for "Bounce nokia" seems to indicate you're right. Thanks a lot! :)

1. https://mobile.twitter.com/TTYDTAS this link that was posted before doesn't work anymore for some reason. 2. Watching again, I'm now curious what happens if you entered the champs room using the clipping glitch, and didn't have a hammer that can break through the vent. Would you get stuck, or could you still get out? 3. I wonder what new (minor) applications for Flurry superslide could there be with the different mechanics on (J)? Other than early ultra hammer I mean.

Uhh... movie maker? THE Windows Movie Maker? If it is... why? just why? and if that's the case, what version are you using?
Because it came with my laptop. Also version 2012 (build 16.4.3503.0728) from the about page.

After encoding with DeSmuME using the microsoft codec, sometimes opening it with movie maker causes the last few seconds of the encode to abruptly truncate. I had to reencode it with full frames to avoid this. I'm not sure if it helps, but this happens more often when I record avi, stop, then continue to record another avi without advancing the frame.

I'm not sure if this bug is fixed the latter revisions, and how desync prone NPCs are, but there seems to be a DTM editor now. At the very least, that means you can look at how long each section took somewhat easier if you ever redo it on a new revision, even if it doesn't sync.

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet, but with Ultra Hammer early, what happens if you enter the outpost far before you're supposed to (as in during chapters 3 or 4).

Is it possible to use that infinite wall jump trick against the mountain wall nearby, or is the invisible border unwalljumpable/too far away?

Voted Meh. While most of the run was very boring, some of the glitches were neat and it does look optimized. And isn't the transliterated title Nanashi No Game?
Idk, I just used the rom's name. :P If a judge thinks its wrong feel free to change it.

It bugs me the fact that you didn't used the American version, or even the Japanese version! The text is considerably faster in that version.
I agree with you, but only for the entertainment value instead of the speed. Most of the text is seems to be annoyingly blatant tutorials, and changing it to Japanese imo would make it less obvious that they are tutorials.
That sounds like a fun way to mess with english viewers; make it (J), causing them to want a translation, only to realize most of it is about how to play the game lol ;)

I've finally watched this. I loved how during that very last part, the hero decides right after the last pokemon to immediately show it off to Oak, without even bothering his rival. I am curious on if and how the Brock walk through walls glitch can improve this though. Still, 10/10 for keeping me entertained for almost 2 hours. :)
