Nice! Btw, I'm not sure how SRL works, but does it time the video live? Or did that timer on the left was added later? If the former, how'd they time it?

I've tried running it on hourglass, but i keep getting the pop up about lacking a sound driver and then I can't get rid of it.

The graphical glitch vanishes after leaving a dungeon. It'll be only the 5th dungeon which is glitched. Of course there will be a few glitched pixels on the sprites, but overall the game looks pretty normal after beating dungeon 5.
As long as it becomes more normal than this, I'm fine.

This is some really slow and long fetch quest. It has also been purged of just about every minigame, by selecting a menu option to skip them. Based on the reaction from the previous submission's thread, and the reaction (or lack thereof) here, there is no doubt that, if it were to be published, it would be in vault tier. The question is, should runs like this be accepted for publication?
Well, Myst and "You got to burn the rope" was published, so why not? There's some aspect of TASing. For example, (very) slight luck manipulation with the NPC's positions, corner boosting, etc.

Ok, I'm going to try routing 100% once I finish with the new Any% route (nonTAS and TAS routes) does anyone know of a website or something with a list of all socks? Edit: what just happened to the paragraph I wrote?
I hope this helps. If not, I'll start a new game and painstakingly find all the socks again and take a snapshot of where they are.

Hi. In Dolphin 3.5 (the download link above 3; not the development branches), it seems that my Kirby Air Ride TAS of Grass won't sync because everytime I try to play it back, it shows the message "No Memory Card Inserted into Slot A" for some reason, even though it was inserted when I started TASing and playing back.

Well, for Cheat engine, the only thing I really used the speedhack was when to slow dow camtasia to record Ao oni (which was played back really slow and the avi dump fialed to work) and to cheat on online games.

You the man! Honestly I would like to do a memory card insert instead of a disc change, cause the dtm file will be extremely long, and it would take about 2.5hours just to playback to disc2. If I can just load a save to start disc2, it would make TASing a lot less tedious.
I don't think this is allowed, given that there are hour long movies that also swap disk (instead of each being a seperate file).

Do not ask to remove all the Guide because you didn't like it. Suggest constructive improvements instead. Which still doesn't mean "being as sterile as possible", because TASing is not creation of something sterile, it is about creating something unique and interesting.
How about some pictures of said "art" in the "TASArt" page?

I actually just tried to do that memory card save idea, but it doesn't work (well, fully anyway), cause you have to create a file on the memory card itself. My idea could still work, but it requires the player to: 1. Start the emulator and RE4 with memory card inserted 2. When the prompt pops up, create the save data 3. Close emulator, and disable memory card 4. Run my dtm file, and somewhere during playback, say insert memory card This is technically allowed by TASvideos, cause I could just create a 3 second dtm to create the memory card, so I guess this would be a "continues from saves" category.
Wait. RachelB just mention the Disk Swapping feature could be implemented into the revision you're using. I guess you should try that and hex edit the input in to see what happens.

Anyway, love how you headshot everything at the last part. Nice work!
I'm using an unofficial version; 3.0-371, cause it has the playback from savestate fix in it. Although the official 3.0 release doesn't have that feature, I just want to make sure it syncs with the official 3.0 version. I don't think the revision I am using has the disc-swap feature. I was planning at the end of disc 1 to just create a save file, and load the save under a new .dtm. And I won't use the 3.5 release of Dolphin because it causes graphical errors in this game. [/quote] Try asking rog/RachelB about any revisions that support both Disk swapping and this game without graphical errors.

Are you using the dolphin revisions with Disk swapping support? It'll be quite annoying (for you) if it wasn't done on said revisions. :o Anyway, love how you headshot everything at the last part. Nice work!

Use Cheat Engine and click "Enable Speedhack". Doesn't work in some games, like in RuneScape Classic, it doesn't do a thing. But in other games, like Ao Oni, it works.

I think it should be a requirement, instead of being optional, to fill this in so people wouldn't need to figure it out through trail and error. But anyway, I'll wait for an encode.

Is the new 0 star TAS gonna be a sub 5:00? Something like 4.59?
Since Mupen's timing is wrong (the console-verified videos are slightly longer than the video dump from Mupen), it'll be unlikely 4:59 = actual sub 5:00. I sure hope this doesn't affect publication of future runs when a more accurate N64 emulator (ever) gets made. Then again, people will probably complain that a "longer" movie obsoleted a "shorter" one. :P
