Manocheese's speedrun will actually beat the current TAS's time, even if you were to count the introduction cutscene. A lot of the time saved comes from save-warping, though.
You're talking about Guanobowl's run, right? I remember the parts of a speedrun that was rejected from SDA popping up on youtube that completed OoT in 2:22 or so.

The low quality video cuts off at around 8:30 just as you approach Snowhead. I'm using VLC to watch.

I like how, as my opinion now represents 0% of the audience, it's still getting crap. (Forgive me, but honestly, this is going from stupid to hilarity.) And by the way, others have stated that they agree with me (in part or whole about the lack of entertainment in this TAS), so you need to think about what you're saying before you insert your foot fully into your mouth.
Sure, the run is not especially entertaining, heck I've watched all the previous runs and don't see much new except the new massive skip and a few optimizations. But you want the run to be rejected because of that. You're the ONLY one out of about 120 that voted that holds that opinion. Get this; NO ONE AGREES WITH YOU. Let me ask you, do you enjoy being argumentative and contrarian? Since you refuse to suck it up after you've been owned so hard, that's the only possible conclusion.

*Amazing* And, to the nay-sayers: This is more of a challenge to other TASers than it is an explicitly entertaining run. I'm very impressed by the collection of methods used to cut this game into shreds. If you just want action without consideration, rent a video.

This seems to fit with the other concept demos, like the Mario 1 movie where Mario doesn't jump. I would put it there.

Wow, the graphics of this game are horrible, when you compare it to its sequels. The controls are pretty unwieldy too. Great run though.

Sorry I must be missing something, what did TSA do that made him such an ass? He's made some great runs, which in turn inspired better runs, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't know him personally but don't you think you guys are overreacting just a bit?
When the original OoT TAS came out he flamed it like GuanoBowl shot his dog. That rubbed many people the wrong way, I know it annoyed me. He's probably an ass in general, but that showed it to everyone.

Before you guys flame TSA, I think you should remember how much he has contributed to the Zelda speedrunning community. He pretty much got the ball rolling for Zelda speedrunning back in the day, so give him some respect please.
Sorry to say but he drew his sword first(metaphorically) at me. Why are you defending him?
Possibly an a.k.a?

Awesome movie... But is it just me, or does the movie completely glitch at about 20:00, after Mario talks to the snowman head?

You've got nothing to compete with Guano's run; your run is almost twice the length. If you're so insistent on this run being imperfect, why don't you do a better one yourself?
He's working on an improved version and note that you are comparing a new TAS with an old speedrun.
I know TSA's run is old, and done on a console. However, it still shows that he's got nothing right now, and therefore has no right to whine. "Working on an improved version" doesn't show anything. If I said, "I have been working on my jump shot. Soon I will be a better shooter than Ray Allen. Damn, Ray Allen is a horrible basketball player," would anyone give a sh1t? No. Until I prove on the field that I am better than Ray Allen nobody will regard anything I say as anything except whining. When TSA demonstrates his improved run that obsoletes this one, he can bash it all he wants, because he's put up his goods.

I chuckled when playing the game at that as well. After the second I realized that all the moles are equally strong, and so can all claim that they are any rank from 1-5.

Damn, the pot calls the kettle black. It's the old saying, put up or shut up. You've got nothing to compete with Guano's run; your run is almost twice the length. If you're so insistent on this run being imperfect, why don't you do a better one yourself? You should stop it with the childish sour grapes attitude and shut up, or make a better run yourself and put up. Oh, by the way, your view is in the extreme minority, as the votes show.

It's funny how TSA claims that "he can do better." Well he should put the money where his mouth is and actually do it. Before he does that, his complaints smack greatly of sour grapes that this guy basically halved the time of TSA's run. IMO you can't beat something with nothing, and right now TSA has nothing to compete with this run.

Is that what was happening? I assumed it was an AVI thing.
For some reason the pause screen lags really bad on a lot of emulators... the latest version of Project64 fixes it though.
