Just like the optimisation rule, I know a longer run has more room to breathe in terms of frames lost to suboptimal inputs. However, where is the line drawn in that respect so that the TP Any% TAS which might lose a frame or two overall gets accepted but someone submitting the input file for a "Wouter Goes Bananas"-esque DK64 101% submission ( https://youtu.be/_FBGO6Lm6O8 ) gets rejected. Personally, I feel like this submission lies on the TP Any% side of things and not the "Wouter Goes Bananas" side.
TP runs on 60 Hz on all versions, so the same rule doesn't apply there.

If this game ever gets a full TAS, it should be the All Challenges category. WMJ is the only player who ever completed a run of it. Most people, me included, can't even get all the gold medals in the first place. Link to video

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what is supposed to be different between versions here. You should join our Discord server, it's a nice community and I'm sure we can help you: https://discord.gg/c8P9dA

Trading in old parts is done automatically when purchasing a new one. The value of the current part is subtracted from the price of the new one.

That run uses a very outdated 100% route, using Bullseye all the way. I recommend looking at some more recent runs for that category (and don't be afraid to check out the PC runs).

You should definitely finish what you started, I'm very curious to see how it looks :)

If you're looking for the best route for Amateur Circuit, check out this guide: https://www.speedrun.com/swe1r/guide/al5iv No N64 runner currently uses Aldar Beedo, as his very low traction is even harder to deal with when using the more limited controls of that version. But a TAs should have no problem with that. As for a good controller layout to play on emu, I'm still looking for one myself ^^

So this is one of those games that can still desync whenever it wants. How great it would be to have good N64 emulation. But I'm curious now about your TAS, what did you do in those first five tracks, what was your goal? I recommend joining our community Dioscord if you want to get in touch with the runners.

You're doing a great job with these, entertaining me with a modern FPS even though I don't even like these. I'm looking forward to your next full-game TAS!

This wasn't as entertaining as I hoped it would be. There were some good parts, but I really didn't like how much the pipe glitch was used. I kept thinking "please don't go back to Pumpkin Zone, just play the level". I also didn't like the playaround part of the autoscroller too much, I would have preferred if you didn't use the pixel trick movement there (if that was even used, I don't know this game well enough) and synced the gameplay to the music. Meh vote from me, I hope to see a TAS one day that completes all the levels without the pipe glitch.

andypanther, I disagree with that for two reasons. 1. high score implies that there's a max score which should have a TAS instead of a high score one. 2. If you're going to do any% you might as well just go fast and not care about score. You can see this Touhou TAS (superplay) that maxes the score out at 2,429,908,660 points.
But that's the thing, it's unreasonable to ask TASers to prove that their score is the absolute highest that can ever be reached. This is the only case where TASVideos uses this logic and all it does is prevent TASes from being submitted or even made in the first place.

High score should really be treated like low%. - If a new TAS gets a higher score than the submitted one, it can obsolete it even if it's slower. - A submitted TAS can be rejected if it is discovered during the judging that a higher score is possible.

Here's a list of Video Games that actually classify as Adventure so you can better understand the genre a bit better instead of plopping it on games that aren't that:
It strikes me that all of those are Action-Adventures rather than Adventure Games. The term "adventure game" usually refers to games like Monkey Island, Myst, King's Quest, Shadowgate, or Nancy Drew.
That's exactly what comes to my mind when I hear about "adventure" as a genre.

There was a bit I wrote during the (now moved) discussion that seemed to have been uncontroversial and at least one user found helpful, so I figured I'd post it again: Okay, let's talk about that for a minute, self improvement and blaming others for your problems. Trying to become a better person is a good thing, you can't externalize everything. But I would be careful with that philosophy, it can turn into self-loathing. I've seen way too many people doing that, especially on the autism spectrum, blaming themselves for everything. If people have to deal with things like bullying, self improvement is not the primary advice you want to give them. Sometimes, it's more healthy to not blame yourself, as a form of protection. It's all about finding that balance between the two.

Tekken TASes never disappoint, not having sound only adds to the hypnotic experience! Easy yes vote. When will we be worthy of an "all endings" TAS?

But why is that necessary in the first place? Why can't they just have a life advice video without sending you the clear message that Elizabeth Warren is a terrible candidate? Even if they have to use a controversial figure like Jordan Peterson, they could have left Warren out of the whole thing. But PragerU is a political channel, sending those messages is the point. Go to their recent videos and they'll tell you how "Hate Speech Doesn't Exist", liberally use right wing slurs like "social justice warrior" and feature extremists like Carl Benjamin, Paul Joseph Watson and Steve Bannon.
Could you please just stop? I wish that there were at least one place on the internet free of politics.
It deeply worries me that it is considered "controversial" to call these people what they are. But do what you want, post all this stuff here, I can't stop you. I'll shut up now so you can be happy.

I still fail to see what an attack on Elizabeth Warren (and including an unflattering picture of her in the thumbnail) has to do with the topic of this thread.

Sure, you could extract the neutral advice from a Peterson speech, there's plenty of uncontroversial statements there to be found. But these aren't new insights, we all know that one shouldn't be lazy, there's no need to get such advice from a source that mainly wants to teach you how to be a religious conservative.

Both Jordan Peterson and Dennis Prager are political figures, they're not neutral, they have a clear agenda. If anything, their videos don't belong here. I'm just pointing that out.

Don't watch Peterson's videos, he's a charlatan. He'll tell you to clean your room, which is a good idea, but then he'll also try to explain how our shared "Judeo-Christian values" are threatened by the "cultural marxists" and how we are all going to end up in some Gulag camp if we don't misgender trans people on purpose. Also, don't watch PragerU, it's nothing but cleverly marketed far-right propaganda.
