I still think that Bisqwit and Truncated were right when they said that this game is simply too long and laborious. Even with a lot of new time saving implementations (at least 5 minutes could be shaved off, if not more) and impressive movement patterns, you're still look at ~45 minutes of 'jump, glide, repeat.'

Considering most people took 30+ hours to beat Twilight Princess on their first playthrough, and none of these people had played it before, why did they even bother holding off on it?

Maybe you should be a Red Wings/Ducks fan like me? It's hard being a Bears/Chargers fan, especially when both teams made it to the playoffs last year and choked.

The Super Metroid run was light years beyond the 0 star.

I thought that we weren't accepting obsoletions for Gradius 3 based on time alone.

That's a pretty stupid opinion to have, and I therefore deem it "wrong."

Easy Yes Vote on the far superior SNES Castlevania game. If the other one was even worth noting, wouldn't there be an improvement in the works for it?

Why is the recent Aria of Sorrow run not on the "Lucky" list? It has a lot of manipulation involved.

Despite the slow walk speed, I found most of this to be fairly interesting. Also, kudos on finding a game that uses the 'receive' sound from Megaman Zero. Yes vote.

Aside from the rad 99 yard touchdown throw, I found most of this to be pretty boring. It had its moments, but it didn't have many. Sorry broheim. Meh.

Blame Yrr for disappearing from the site. His run was a pretty grand improvement (though not perfect), and he only had a few minutes left on it.

You guys are retarded. No joke. The Merman Skip occurs in the third stage, between 16000 and 17000 in the published smv. There is a platform that leads to stairs after riding some platforms over watever, and dan_ thought that the Merman could damage boost you to that platform without having to ride the moving platform all the way to the right. I was able to do it once, though without saving the smv, so it should be doable with lots of effort. I remember it taking me a few days of random inputs (without frame advance) to get it to work. Seriously, who assumes that the Merman boost is anything but a damage boost involving a Merman?

Yes vote for great new paths and tactics alone. Using normal mode brings an additional smile to my face. Was it really worth skipping the Skeleton Knight soul in the beginning? Was it also worth killing all four of Chaos' eyes?

While I am pleased with the tricks I've found, I think that Drill Dozer is too advanced for me. I'm very bad at expressing myself, so that may have been a bit confusing. Basically what I'm saying is that just cause I'm finding tricks, doesn't necessarily mean I'm any good at the game. Just observant.
You've expressed yourself fairly well, actually. While I understand that Drill Dozer is a very intimidating game, it's not as hard to work with as you seem to think. It just requires a lot of time and thought to work around each situation, since the tiniest changes make huge impacts on each screen. Either way, your tricks are going to already save a lot of time. I've gone ahead and uploaded the truncated WIP as of yet (I recently removed about 5 minutes from the end to fix a few things that hex couldn't manage). It once again needs more work, so now I can go back and fix a few more things with your tricks! Luckily, hexing with Drill Dozer isn't so bad. The only problem is that I prefer to use minimal input, so hexing precision has to be exact. Oh well. Expect me to say more on this probably in January. As I've said before, my Diablo 2 speedrun has priority over this, and I'm aiming to finish that before the end of the year. Feel free to keep pumping out time savers, though.

I know that by now you have probably dropped this
Nope. School, personal life, and a few other things have taken priority over all of my speedruns. Feel free to work on the game, though. There are no dibbs around here, and nothing but good can come from competition. e: Both tricks are pretty rad. I'll hex them in on a later date.

I generally have found every SMB2 run to be somewhat boring. This one wasn't so bad. Yes vote. However, I don't think this should get a star. I also don't feel that the other SMB2 runs deserve stars, but that's just me.

That sounds like Sacred to me. Pretty good game, though I much prefer Diablo II with its plethora of mod capabilities.
That's the one. Like I said, the game is fun to play with every once in a while. It seems in no way polished compared to Diablo 2, though.

Are you sure it's frame effective to skip the Skeleton Knight soul? From the calculations I did like 2 years ago, having both the Combat Knife and the Skeleton Knight soul cuts down on a lot of swings before you reach the first Minotaur. Otherwise, run looks good. My only qualm is how sloppy your Floating Garden is. I thought it was desynching at first, only to realize that you were slowly killing yourself to make Lubicant more effective. Despite that, I think it looks a bit off. Maybe you could make it flashier and more convincing?

There is this one PC game that I keep playing the demo of, but could never bother to get the actual game. It plays top down, like Diablo, and you can combo skills together. You can also start as an Angel or a Barbarian, to name a few classes. If you can find the name of that, I'd say it's worth a gander. Also, check out: Dungeon Siege Enclave Guild Wars (in all its millions of versions) e: Don't play Hellgate: London. It's very buggy, since it just barely came off of initial beta. It's also a lot more labor than people seem to think.
