So ShiningProdigy9000 challenged me to beat his Sonic Classic Heroes Team Hyper run and I agreed so here it is. Beated his run by 1:29.38
About the Hack:
Sonic Classic Heroes is a ROM hack for Sega Mega Drive that is the result of a collaboration between flamewing and ColinC10, combining their respective hacks Sonic 2 Heroes and Sonic 1 and 2. It is therefore a single ROM that offers all the Sonic the Hedgehog campaigns. and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, either alone or together; and allows the player to play as many characters as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. The hack gets its name because of the ability to control a team of characters, which is reminiscent of the 3D game, Sonic Heroes.
The hack is based on the Sonic 2 engine, which has been enhanced by both Flamewing and ColinC10 to have new features. These include: multiple gameplay elements from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, such as element shields and character-specific abilities; the ability to save progress, scores, etc. in SRAM (something rarely implemented in Sonic 2, the other notable example being Esrael's Sonic 2 Delta); various bug fixes and mechanic improvements from the original games; and many more features, both implemented and planned.
Game Objectives

Zone Comments
- Green Hill Zone Act 1: I found out dropdashing as Hyper Sonic while under speed shoe effect is as fast as performing a Max speed Super Peel out as Hyper Sonic so 0.11 seconds is saved.
- Green Hill Zone Act 2 & 3: Not much to mention. In the latter zone, I manage to beat Shining's Record.
- Marble Zone Act 1 & 3: Not much to say. Just beated by some microseconds in his run.
- Marble Zone Act 2: At the first shortcut, Hyper Sonic collects a speed shoe monitor and speeds his way to the end and 0.21 seconds is saved.
- Spring Yard Zone Act 1 & 2: Just beated his records.
- Spring Yard Zone Act 3: Beated the zone by 1.22 seconds which ironically without the use of speed shoes.
- Labyrinth Zone Act 1: Beated his record by 1.37 seconds.
- Labyrinth Zone Act 2: Faster door clip without the use of speed shoes.
- Labyrinth Zone Act 3: Used the climb glitch to reach the shortcut fast. and 8 seconds was saved.
- Star Light Zone Act 1 & 3: Have Hyper Tails grab a speed shoe or S monitor offscreen and Hyper Sonic go fast in record time.
- Star Light Zone Act 2: Beated his record by 0.28 seconds.
- Scrap Brain Zone Act 1 & 2: Beated both records. Also in the latter, I used Player 2, which is detecting Tails, to spindash to the cutscene offscreen, effectively reducing time in said cutscene just like in my last run.
- Scrap Brain Zone Act 3: Like my last run, I used the climb glitch, achieved by knuckles to achieve record time in the zone and 7.13 seconds are saved.
- Scrap Brain Zone Act 4: Honestly I thought I might be a few microseconds off because of what I did in the previous zone but to my surprise, I manage to tie with ShiningProdigy.
- Emerald Hill Zone Act 1: Just tied with Shining's record.
- Emerald Hill Zone Act 2, Chemical Plant Zone and Aquatic Ruin Zone: Just basically beated his record.
- Casino Night Zone Act 1: Knuckles climb glitches through the area before the first moving square platform and 2.75 seconds are saved.
- Casino Night Zone Act 2: Just beated by 8.65 seconds.
- Hill Top Zone Act 1: Got the S Monitor faster and beated his record by 1.15 seconds.
- Hill Top Zone Act 2 & Mystic Cave Zone Act 1: Beated his record by 0.77 seconds and 0.64 seconds respectively.
- Mystic Cave Zone Act 2: I have Player 2, Knuckles, Grab an S Monitor offscreen, effectively reducing time by 2.93 seconds.
- Oil Ocean Zone Act 1: Found out how to get Hyper Sonic offscreen like in the Sonic 2 run.
- Oil Ocean Zone Act 2: Knuckles takes the ocean route and does the climb glitch at the wall, leading to the boss, saving time by 4.10 seconds.
- Metropolis Zone: Overall, this zone has the most usage of the climb glitch at 7 times in total. In act 1, 0.98 seconds was saved. In act 2, 10.15 seconds was saved. In act 3, 20.73 seconds was saved.
- Sky Chase Zone: Just playing around doing Ring Attack. Still tied with Shining's record. I also found out using hyper sonic's flash adds in a lag frame so i avoided doing so.
- Wing Fortress Zone: Managed to beat his record by 0.45 seconds.
- Death Egg Zone: Hyper Sonic (and possibly others) can clip though the door where eggman lies behind by switching to player 2 or 3 and switch back to player 1 and 0.25 seconds was saved and that's how its done.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
Memory: Was unclaimed, so claiming.
Memory: This was a solid improvement to [5911] Genesis Sonic Classic Heroes "Team Hyper" by ShiningProdigy9000 in 26:40.28, I definitely was able to notice the few skips that were added like the scrap brain 3 trick. Thankfully, it wasn't to such a degree that the team choice felt irrelevant.
Speaking of the team tho, did they really have to make hyper sonic cause so many screen flashes? My poor eyeballs.
Accepting to alternative to obsolete [5911] Genesis Sonic Classic Heroes "Team Hyper" by ShiningProdigy9000 in 26:40.28.
