This is a tas of the homebrew game Fruit Shinobi on the NES
  • Emulator used: Bizhawk 2.9.1
  • The objective of this tas was to shoot a bomb as fast as possible.
This tas hits the bomb in 15 seconds.

eien86: Hi XpNvH and welcome to TASVideos.
Unfortunately, your movie suffers from multiple issues:
  • The most important one being that your movie is noticeably sub-optimal. I took me mere seconds to reduce the number of frames required to activate the bomb.
  • The inputs indicate to me that you played the game using the mouse, instead of surgically inserting inputs using Bizhawk's TAStudio
  • Your movie plays for a couple thousand frames more than needed after reaching the goal. Although this is not really a problem, it piles on the evidence that this movie is casually made.
Here in TASVideos, we strive to create technically sound movies that are not easily improvable (does not need to be perfect). I recommend you reading MovieRules and related articles for more information on this.
The second set of issues with this movie is the choice of goal. Reaching an early death is rarely a compelling goal, or technically difficult. E.g., everybody can quickly die to the first Goomba in NES Mario, but few can beat it under 5 minutes.
I'd like to encourage you to try harder and come up with a better goal. For example, reaching maximum score, or getting to the hardest level. I don't know if either of these are feasible in Fruit Shinobi, but I encourage you to do the research.
Some people take years to produce a single movie which saves one or a couple frames only. Although this is far from required to make a successful entry, the opposite (i.e., a lackadaisical effort) has little chances to make it through.
Looking forward to your next submssion.
