Shienryu is a video game, that much is true.
This movie scores 156 Million points, the highest by a human (before closure of the game) is just under 70 million.
This movie plays with the intention of getting as high of a score as possible (excluding manipulating something covered later) Like my previous submission of Daioh, This game might seem really similar! It's basically just Daioh again lol.
But the scoring is far more involved, let's cover it.
There exists a hidden multiplier mode that applies to all forms of score added to the counter, including shot points. It maxes at times 8 and only is active when you have NO LIVES LEFT and MISSILE WEAPON. (the worst one)
Using a bomb cuts X amount of frames off of your current elapsed multiplier timer, meaning I am allowed to bomb, sometimes.
Saturn Version?
Saturn version removes the *unlock* requirement for this mode present in the Arcade version; in the AC ver, you must have the 100th place score be above 3,000,000 points. and frankly this is just annoying, so I used the saturn port.
Scoring info : Ignoring x8 mode, what exists to earn points?
Enemy kills, Tick points, reserve bombs on clearing stages, excess powerups and weapon pickups will all add to your score.
There is a new addition in Shienryu compared to Daioh, and that is the LED items.
These items drop at a random rate from any ground enemy and any flying enemy that can hit the ground. Red ones are equivalent to 1 LED, and Blues (far rarer) are 10. They are 500 points per LED in the stage clear bonus (x8 = 4,000)
If you're thinking I manipulated every single enemy to drop an LED, I admire your expectations of me! I really did try to manipulate extra LED's to spawn; especially blues. But I don't believe it is currently possible to have a 100% LED rate with TAS, so I manip'd the best I could.
It should be mentioned, the drop rate for LED's is far higher in loop 2; so youll see some very high clear bonuses.
Enjoy Daioh-2!

Darkman425: Claiming for judging.
Darkman425: Input file replaced by one removing an 231 frames of input that doesn't break sync or otherwise affect the submission. Thank you, Spikestuff.
The work put into getting the points, especially maintaining the 8X score multiplier against the frankly absurd maximum difficulty rank. I can understand that trying to manipulate as many LED drops as possible isn't exactly possible considering that they both require some sort of ground and are all RNG if you get a drop at all, let alone a blue LED drop.
Some things I came across when looking up info about the game was the Shmups Wiki high score record for Shienryu. This lists what the arcade version's high score table requirements are for the multiplier mode but another thing caught my eye. Apparently an infinite score pattern of the final boss was found in 2019, due to the final boss not having a time out mechanic. This submission doesn't use this infinite score strategy which should be noted in the publication.
Accepting to Standard.
fsvgm777: Processing.
Also replacing the movie file with one that ends input before the credits on the second loop. This movie file is used for encoding however, as it contains the high score input.
