This game sucks. In order to get the best ending, the game must be beaten several times in a row. Which wouldn't make much sense for a TAS. Four Symbols must be collected in order to beat the game.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.2.1
  • Takes damage to save time

RAM addresses

AddressTypeDescription
0x0362s-ByteX Speed
0x032AByteX On Screen
0x00FDByteCamera X
0x0010s-ByteCamera X 2nd
0x037Es-ByteX Subpixel
0x0370s-ByteY Speed
0x030EByteY Position
0x038Cs-ByteY Subpixel
The game uses signed subpixels. It changes the sign with the direction of the movement.

Tricks

Running
To run the B Button must be pressed several times. This is why there are so many pointless shots in this TAS.
Higher jumping
To perform a higher jumping running speed is needed or the character has to jump two times in a row.

Stage by stage comments

Overworld

The Overworld has 4 castles. Two on the actual overworld and two on the underground world. The overworld is just straight forward. In order to get to the underworld the helmet is needed, which is purchased in castle 2.

Castle 1 and 3

The castles are repeated, just with more enemies.
In the castle 1 the Roll of Magic, the Boots and the Symbol of Money are needed.
In the 3rd you get the Super Mantle and the Symbol of Family.
The Roll of Magic does stronger attacks and breaks some kind of blocks, with the boots blocks can be broken by jumping on them.

Castle 2 and 4

In the 2nd caste the Powered Helmet is found. There's also the Symbol of Knowledge.
The fourth castle hides the Symbol of Peace.

feos: Accepting for Vault. And clearing the branch (which is any%).
