About the game

Final Fantasy Legend II, originally released in Japan as Sa・Ga2: Hihō Densetsu, is a role-playing video game developed by Square Co. for the Game Boy handheld console as the second game of their SaGa series. Initially released in December 1990 for Japanese audiences, the game was translated and released in North America in November 1991 by Square America Co, and again in 1998 by Sunsoft. Like its predecessor, the English version was re-branded as a Final Fantasy title due to the series' popularity in the Western world. The game's development was headed by lead designer Akitoshi Kawazu, who had worked on the previous title, with a music staff consisting of Kenji Ito and Nobuo Uematsu. In 2009, an enhanced remake of the game was announced for the Nintendo DS titled SaGa 2 Hihō Densetsu: Goddess of Destiny, featuring three-dimensional graphics, new story elements, and an arranged soundtrack.
The game is set in a fantasy world where the player assumes the role of one of eight different characters of varying race and gender who leaves on a journey to find their lost father and discover the secret of "Magi", a substance created by the gods that holds powerful magic. Final Fantasy Legend II was largely well-received worldwide during its original release, with readers of Japanese magazine Famitsu voting it the 94th greatest game of all time in a 2006 poll.

About the glitch

  • The Trash Can Bug
If you use the trash can several times when the total of Magg is 29, the total of MAGI becomes 255.
As a result, you come to be able to open all doors.
Details are here.
  • The Dragon Race Bug
If you use the teleport while the dragon race, you can take out the dragon to the outside.
When riding on the dragon, you can pass various obstacles.
Details are here.
  • The Poison Bug
When the total of the ally and the enemy is 16 and someone dies with poison under a specific condition, the most significant bit of 8 bits data becomes 0, and equipment, the ability, and the character change.
In this run, the monster is transformed to a black cat and the equipment of the Mech is changed by using the poison bug.
Details are here.
  • The Counter Bug (JPN v1.0 only)))
The counter of the monster ability can be removed.
The counter sells for 272823 kero each.
In this running, I sell the counter, buy the frame sword, equip mech with it, and improve the power of mech.
This bug doesn't exist in (U) version.

Flygon: Added YouTube module. Wrong submission x.x
Flygon: Added right video this time.

mmbossman: Are these glitches possible on the (U) version, or are they (J) specific? Setting to "Needs more info" until this question is answered. Viewer response has been positive, and it appears there are unique advantages to using the (J) ROM, so I'm accepting this for publication.
