Here's the core of what the route is based around. As you can see Heatman is very necessary for clash and quickman.
"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."
I just realized, for question of not zipping on clashman's final tunel, it's because there is no more item1 juice. For not doing it on airman is likely because it's 2 aditional weapon switches, opposed to 1.
"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."
Can somone explain what happens in the quickman level when they do that long zip through the top of the map and it ends with the tunnel turning down, how do they get to the next screen from inside the wall?

In Mega Man 2, there are not really concepts of "up, down, left and right" in the map. There's only next and previous.
However, the next room can be arrived into even by going to the wrong exit.
When a wrong exit is applied to get to the next room, the screen doesn't scroll properly, and a difference will form between actual and displayed room. At some point, the player must return to the actual displayed room.
What Finalfighter did was that he went to the "next" room not from the bottom exit, but from the right side exit. He then played a few screens further, and at some point of time later on, he returned to the actual displayed room, which as always is the previous screen from the point where Mega Man is.
Ok, that finally makes sense ;\
I question the screen he choose to re-enter on, I think that might be the second best, but the screen after the one he re-entered on looks like it would save considerable time from being able to go from the left edge to the right edge.
*Edit: nm, you re-enter on the previous screen.*
Also, what happens if you don't re-enter?
Small thing, but it really seems like you should leave the first screen with the yellow bars that kill you on the left side of the bottom platform, as was done in Morimoto's previous run, so that you don't have to walk across to the left on the next screen.
"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."
If you don't re-enter, you can't interact with onscreen objects (other than getting damage from them) because when you shoot something, it actually goes to the next screen (where Megaman is), not to the screen that is displayed (and where the objects are).

I can't comment on that, but remember also to consider the laser beams, the power left in time stopper and whether the screen edges are actually transparent.

I did not understand this.

I understand that, but can you interact with objects on the screen you're actually in (that's not being displayed). Maybe go as far to kill the boss like this.
Also, what happens if you do the exit to the right through the wall trick while your already being displayed in the screen previous to the one your actually in?

No. They are not spawned until visible.
(With exception to magnet beams in MM1, I think - but MM1 has its own problems - namely, can't move to the right in the next screen).

Here's the babelfish translation:
"Is in regard to rock man 2,
but Bubble Man stage R <- 1292 -> M +1+2
↑
With measurement of that time considerably there was a difference
↓
Heat Man stage B <- 1746 -> R
With R the damage only 1 being not to hit in the heat man, it meaning that time is required rather, it does
But, when the bubble man with "M + 1 + 2" is captured with current my technology, as for difference you think that it is very delicate, but perhaps the possibility of winning timewise certainly it is"
I think he's basically saying, that you lose a lot of time on Heat Man's stage, but it might be possible that you can make that up in Bubble Man's stage...he's not really sure.
Im not sure if i have seen this glitch here yet but.. I must inform you.
There is a glitch that can warp you from Fightinh air man to Wily stage level 2. But then.. you cant do that stage cause you dont have jet right? wrong.. ive got by there somehow.. but i did it.. and this glitch doesn't do anything.
When you arrive at the boss.. he just doesn't show up..

This trick has been discussed even in this topic before. Read the previous posts.
In this AVI, I demonstrate the trick you described. http://bisqwit.iki.fi/jutut/jp-mm2/rockman-aire2.avi
Unfortunately, the trick is completely useless. It simply leads Mega Man into a non-escapable dead end.
Edit: And no, Item2 is not required to pass that map.
Edit 2: Similarly, the maps of Wily1, Wily3 and Wily4 can be accessed from other levels. A similar effect exists in Rockman 1, but it's not any more helpful there either.

Yeah, it only places Mega Man in that level virtually--if you somehow beat it, it would result in you returning to the stage select screen, as if you had beaten Air Man normally.
