I knew only half of them (8), but I looked for the answers of the others I missed :P Out of the list, I haven't played game #8, 9 & 12. I guess that would mean I should had gotten 13 answers right :(
Anyone knows where in the game does sprite #16 appears? I don't remember it at all...
I saw the run & while I liked the fact that you beat the bosses instead of using the bug to instant kill them, I don't think you should aim for the gun's upgrade at the beginning of the game, it looked like it wasn't a TAS at all. I'm sure you can get items faster by killing the green blobs (they reproduce again if you let them live for a while).
This topic reminds me of a joke. I don't remember the exact words, but it was something along this lines...:
What did a hardcore gamer geek player asked to his girlfriend?
Will you be my 2p? (2nd player)
I remember having the same questions when I started my FFV TAS run (I accidentally overwrote 15 minutes of a test run XD).
I would recommend you playing around with the rerecords & frame advance but not while starting a TAS, that way if you mess it up, nothing important will be lost. Also, make a backup each time you want to resume or hex edit the run, that way you'll have somewhere to go back if something went wrong.
As for manipulating the battles, is been a long since I played this game, but I remember that if you pause walking a little, you could change when will as fight take over. (I think this applies for both world map & dungeons).
Well, I didn't liked the Waluigi drawing (though I also dislike the character itself anyway), though the other 2 ones looked good IMO. Could you do one of kirby? <(^.^)>
Something I found funny is that I submitted the FFV TAS run around the same date, but a year earlier :P
As for this run, I'm wondering something, is it possible to avoid battles in the world map if you open the menu (as is done on FFV)?
Well, ShinSR71 was planning to do it, but he disappeared. So, right now no one is working on it :(
That's not a big problem. You can use the Snes walkthru to give you an idea of the strategies. Of course, since it abuses the Chemist job, you'll have to use a different tactic, but you could follow the SDA run...
As for TASing, it looks complicated at first, but once you start doing it, is easy. I would try doing the run if I just had a good computer. I was running the Snes9x at 50% (which wasn't that bad, as I would need to slow it down, but I needed to check the run in another computer...)
If you decide to do it, we could plan the route, so that you only needed to follow it...
I did liked the movie, but it felt unoptimized at times, so I'm voting meh.
I have a question, if you did played some levels out of order, wouldn't be faster if you used the items you get on a level to beat another one by also playing out of order? (Like playing level 22 when you have the feather...)
Even w/o the glitches, it won't take longer than the SNES run. This is because you can run at double speed, which saves quite some time. (specially at the beginning)
BTW, I made a text with lots of memory addresses. If anyone is interested, you can check it here:

I haven't played MV much, but I can notice right away some errors in your run. You should land smoothly after the jumper by pressing down, and you shouldn't replenish your energy, you don't need it.
I don't know which is the best time with that car, but the WR is 1'48"01 (with Jet Vermilion).
I look around on youtube & found a run of 2 minutes with another car. I highly recommend you to use a different car (though you would need to unlock the cars first). If you have any question, I also recommend you to ask on MFO's forum. It might not be very active, but people will surely help you ;)
Well, I don't know how many frames you miss to get another jump, but it does look close, I barely reach my 32nd jump...
Do you plan on trying the other mini games? (Ekan's hop & hurl, and Sushi go round). Or even all the mini games playing on hyper? I would love to see that :)
