Just so everyone knows, Opera is now available for free on Wii's Shop Channel. It'll be free untill june. After that they'll charge 500 wii points to buy it.

It's impossible to enter the house without touching the coins outside the chimney.

JSmith, you can't do that with that box because as soon as you grab it, mario jumps 3 times and break the box. Snowman's lost his head.... ???? how hard is that? not much i guess. i bet i can do it on console :P

mr_roberts_z asked me to start the thread for him, here it is. He is currently planning on doing this run instead of the 70 stars, since that one wasn't too clear of it's goals and restrictions. Rules: - touch no coins, ever - touch no cap switches - doesn't enter any cannon Goal: - take maximum amount of stars under those restrictions, as fast as possible, and then finish the game. Just like it isn't possible to define that any run in this site is really the fastest possible, i see no reason for the goal of getting maximum amount of stars should be taken as vague. It's just a goal to strive for. If that goal is beaten by someone else by taking more stars, then that's a better run. If someone takes the same amount of stars, but faster, that's also better. What's the point of this run? while discussing with mr_roberts_z, we've quickly realized that it shows cool strategies and tricks for some stars that aren't present on the 100% or any% runs. Here's hoping that it's more than "some", and becomes "many", but that doesn't depend solely on the author, it also depends on the circunstances.

yes, anything goes, no arbitrary movement restrictions. the rules are clear: - touch no coins, ever - touch no cap switches - doesn't enter any cannon The objective is to get the most stars under those rules, and do that as fast as possible. The run should be obsoleted if: - someone makes a movie getting more stars, under the same rules. - someone takes the same ammount of stars, but faster. BKDJ: 115 is the number of stars without caps or cannons, but those take coins. 15 courses, each with 1 100 coin star and 1 red coin star. that's 30 stars right there that don't belong to a cccless run. not to mention red coins on cap courses, bowser stages and etc. I think this is a bit different than cless, this is cccless :) but instead of merging with that thread, i'd suggest creating the own thread for this run.

Problem is, mupen doesn't dump the sound at a proper speed, and it gets desynced quite fast, especially on this long video.

oh yeah and the virtual games never reset unless you want it to. i guess it saves the state when you return to the wii-menu. this rox for score-games that don't have the save ram thing (like pinball). the news and that other channel wont show until i updated the wii, but when i update the wii it says i have the latest update. so whats up with that. not that i care for the news on my wii much, but i was just curious :p Wow that's cool about the game saving, but that kind of ruins the possibility for netplay? i really wished netplay on the VC.... The news and weather channels aren't available yet.

I don't think there are that many tricks on the game's engine to add a page for mario 64, but there are many applicable places for those few glitches... But that doesn't qualify for a tricks page, because it would either have 2 tricks or 200.

The pointer is infra red for added precision. But the motion sensing isn't infra red. You can turn off the sensor bar and you'll feel no difference on baseball, tennis, golf boxing or whatever. I play zelda lying on my bed, blankets, almost falling asleep. It requires only subtle movements to activate the actions, which doesn't even happen too often. Wii sports makes you sweat, but it shows how versatile the Wii is. You can sweat or you can sleep. They say that sony has patented a remote controler with sensors for the ps3, i'm not sure what it does. Even if they release such an acessory, the wii is still cheaper, with cheaper games and it has the miis which are really fun.

I've never heard of a game not working fine on an emulator, besides graphics or sound issues. The game's mechanics always works, or else things that aren't bugs would also not work, right? when we get 100 coins we get an extra life, when the character steps on the ground it holds him from falling, when you press A the character jumps... So if these work exactly like in the real game, then the bugs must work too. I'm just using my logic, i'm no programmer.

I'm curretly trying to beat Matt on wii boxing. When you get to level 1500 he shows up. I've fought him a dozen times, but he always beat me. :( I'm pro at golf, almost at tennis and bowling, but i suck at baseball. (pro ranking is anyone over level 1000)

yea, but i was (and still am) too tired of the game, maybe i'll do something later, but probably not. There are bigger chances of making a DVD.

huh? when you're outside, only the outside is loaded, and when you're inside, only the inside is loaded. so how can you do the BLJ on the slope if you're inside?

The lobby glitch makes the lobby area route much easier since most (if not all paths) will return to a common return point via exit stage from the menu. Also the 3 secret stars in the lobby return there as well. It makes the order of the rooms pretty much irrelevant... as long as the glitch is faster.
it may be faster to exit the level through the door because there may be enough stars already for that.

I'm enjoying trauma center pretty much, the controls are real good. the story is getting kinda dull near the end, but it's ok. Also, played 6 hours of TP.
