i don't know that game, i'll check it out. personaly i don't like much games with auto-scrolling for timeattacks, i just made battletoads cause it has a lot of variation and is fast. tiger heli is so slow and the heli moves so slowly...

if you want the elbow attack earlier you should consider using punches then :O

he has bandwidth problem, graphics wouldn't help much... i prefer it to work rather than to look good

ok i made a movie, it doesn't go back to the start, it just finds a looping place where the difficulty increases a lot each time it repeats because the enemies firing rate increases madly. it was very hard to play, but not impressive to watch, even on the end of the movie (i stopped playing at 500.000 points, 24 minutes).

wow much faster, just because u planned a better attack pattern =) nice.... but there was at least 1 moment where you could have knocked down the enemy with 1 blow (before acquiring the flying kick) by using the head attack, but u chose to do kicks. and u can kill the first 2 chins by knocking them to the left of the screen and walking right, they will disappear. it's a bit faster than killing them.

u know that when 1 of the screens is stopped (like if he finished the race) or in pitstop, the other screen gets 30 frames per second? that sucks because all of the time u have to play with 15 fps or so, the game could have an option to disable the other view in 1 player mode so u get 30 fps all the time....

nope... it's infinite non-stop. unless for when u land, but even where it connects to the start of the game there's no landing pad. it keeps scrolling....

it's short, after some screens it goes back to the start (u wouldn't notice, it just repeats the scenery over and over).

on top gear there are some variables though. because of the nitro. here are the questions: - is it best to use nitro while going up a hill (so u don't lose as much speed going up) or down a hill (so you get a lot of top speed that will last for a straight way, i.e.) - is it best to use all nitros at once (so u get a madly high top speed once) or use each one once u hit the regular max speed (so you can have a more average high speed). i think the speed goes down faster when it's too high, so if u use all nitros at once you won't get much "after nitro" high speed effect. but on the other hand, it will go so fast that on short tracks it may be the best way around.

phil do u know contra 3 well? watch my zsnes movie on hard mode maybe u can get something out of it, just a warmup hehe. i love that game. and top gear too, but i don't know if i timeattack would be interesting cause the fastest time possible can be done without resavings.... http://members.lycos.co.uk/uobforum/phpBB2/index.php

after the game is beat, it starts again in hard mode. i could use a password to make the video on hard mode (but i think it would need a subtitle to explain that the password is being input just to make it hard). i don't know the differences between normal and hard modes. i haven't played the game more than 10 times in my life, does anybody know if there's substantial changes or if enemies just do more damage?

-- hmm it's very easy to beat the bosses using the B button at max turbo speed, the boss simply can't move, u just have to kick him till he dies. -- i'll need to get experience points to learn the sliding tackle asap cause it is the only way to make him run.... -- there's an emulation problem that the big bosses that are like background aren't rendered (they remain invisible, but can still be defetead no problem...)

it was so long that i played it that when i saw him getting the speedrun shoes i shouted WTF!!!! i had no idea there was a door there, even though i got 100% items 11 years ago hehehehe bit added in 2011: This thread is really embarassing. on the sound setting there's the turn sound on/off and there's the volume. check both. then close open zsnes :P

yea, a 2 player battletoads can be faster than 1 player, but it's very hard to make such a movie. i think i can make a 1 player movie that is faster than what u guys did, but i don't know if i should take the time to do it...

like bisqwit said, there's nothing ramdom in a computer. "ramdom" is a code that takes a number based in the clock, or sprite position to give back a value used as "ramdom" while it is not. so don't worry it will record the monster set correctly.

why is esc so bad? i think it's easy key to press cause it's detached from the rest you can punch the key fast without looking at the keyboard and u know u won't miss it heh
