i'll give 1 example of where it could be faster: the very first thing you do! you jump for no reason wasting a whole second

I think you did the same thing in your other 'toads video: you grab the first downward copters in the terra tubes, but not the others. Was it not possible to avoid those first ones?
wow you and your good eye, it actually IS possible to do so, do the left+right trick, run to the left, jump and then easily fall between the spikes in the bottom. i had just given a lame excuse (i hadnt even though of doing that, maybe because i assumed phil and genisto did the right path). BUT (yes theres a but) i tested it now and the only way to get through the helicopters is by doing left+right, which disables the toads to grab the upwards choppers right after : / so.. even though possible to do what you imagined, the level cant be finished after doing it :)

unfortunately not, the angle was too high to enable the toads to go back in mid air after going to the left... thanx for the comments :) rash throwing zitz in the hole "FLOP!!" he throws him in the hole so violently its funny

well, i know its your first run, but submitting movies is for movies that have a chance of getting published, your run has clear flaws and doesnt beat the world records which ARENT tool assisted.

beforehand translation to neofix: TheAxeMan diz: 'Bom trabalho, neofix, eu gostei.

alright continued recording. finished level 8, this time i REALLY got to luck manipulate robo manus (much better than my 1p run...) poor little guy cant even move, the toads beat the crapola outta him! 6:40 mins so far at end of level 8. (against 7:26 of current run) now another long level 9, then 10th level will be 5x faster than current 2p run, then level 11. i will hopefully have player 2 still under 100.000 points so i will only have to lose 1 life (player 2 has 97.200 points right now, he cant get no more points on levels 9 and 10 or else the auto point bonus for vehicle levels will make him get an extra life, big loss of time)

yep, gen-an and felicia i made them i wasnt sure if they are 100% true to their original concept, but i tried to make something complete no matter if it was the same or not. the ninja was initially inspired by taki from soul edge (soul blade), but it ended up different. the baseball player was inspired by a character from akira toriyama's dr. slump, but i put my style on it

what can i say? faster? batter! the game still is crap with graphics made by a 5 years old child and music made by the same infant, the game isnt a pleasant experience which is mainly the music's fault. but this is pretty close to perfect, if this game has to be published, yes vote from me

i was going to vote meh, but then i realized maybe i just dont like this type of game. i also felt like it should have been a 100% kill, but you went 100% speed as shooting to the sides wastes some time. and then i read the text, so ok i'll vote yes, some people can enjoy it. gj

when you are viewing the submission (http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=240), the link to discuss it doesnt work (http://nesvideos.stc.cx/t/1047) but when looking at submission details (http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=298) the link to discuss it works (http://tasvideos.org/forum/t/1047) edit: oh i see, nesvideos.stc.cx.... thats old

i'm gonna make it frame perfect now with fceu and frame advance. its really quick, i'll also try to make it impressive by almost hitting every car and wall going side to side. shouldnt take long to make, anyway.

i have bad news. i tested battletoads (J) and the game has a select 1 player or 2 plaeyr mode at start, and the game is badly altered on almost every level to make it easier. both players start with 5 lives and... level 11 allows 2 players.... O_o sigh... what do i do? - U = harder game, ending in english, but i have to lose 91 frames on level 3 to suicide player 2 and then lose almost 15 secs to suicide player 2 on level 11. - J = easy game, allows 2 players on level 11 but ending is in japanese O_o.... this one will be faster indeed, but its easier and in jap. WHAT DO I DO, OH GOD....

the cheapest one costs what? the price of a magazine?? you dont need fancy analog turbo feedback ones. a simple pad with 2 buttons will do. buy an used one.

I think the only way to really do two players by yourself, is with frame advance, and a good key setup so you can actually push everything at once. Just hold all the buttons you need for both players, and advance a frame, lather, rinse, repeat. I'm sure FODA will chime in since he's doing Battletoads. -Cheez
GET A GAMEPAD. you already have too many things in mind when controlling 2 characters to worry about which keys work with what keys. having a gamepad for player 2 also helps you not get TOO confused with what buttons controll which character. trust me, it gets confusing with the characters moving side to side and you pressing frame advance button 50 thousand times you eventually lose track of which one is player 1 and which is player 2 when you are worrying about making both run / jump / dodge at same time.
