This is great! But will the site still accept movies from the previous PSx emulator?

Would a run that uses this "code" and also uses "game-breaking glitches" be of a seperate category?

Is it ok to use the latest revision of VBA to TAS GBx games? Or is it still inaccurate in Emulation? Also, I'm curious about differences in lag. What if someone finds an improvement in the old versions of VBA, but finds out due to lag differences, it's slower on the new versions of VBA. Should the old version be used? Or should the more laggier but accurate version be used?

Will you post Wips every now and then so people can have a look? That would be nice.

I don't understand why using continues is wrong. I mean, I thought some runs use death to save time? In this case, it was to skip the train? Edit: Oh, you use coins. I never knew they weren't allowed.

I thought this run was ok. The game may not be great, but at least it wasn't horrible. I voted yes.

Does the time limitation cause any problem in getting better pokemon for a better run? Also, how did you manipulate the attacks during the published run? I want to try doing the run using the female character to see if it's faster, but I don't know how to mainpulate attacks without wasting frames.

I saved 2 more frames + managed to hex in the autoscroller from the published run. Are there anymore improvements that are possible? WIP If it's ok, I'll continue to the boss.

Sonikkustar, I added your improvement to the run, plus saved several more frames on the second last room due to somewhat different route. It is now 61 frames ahead of the published run. WIP

I wasn't the first to discover the glitched method to enter the Palace of Four Sword. RexZemenheart was the first person to make a video on this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDlvliJMCow But I was the first person to discover the Cursed Link glitch.
Oh, sorry! I fixed the submission text to reflect that. Thanks!

Hey jlun2, how is progress? I just wanted to ask since I think I found a fairly big improvement. STUFF By pressing start, you will avoid the fadeout that happens when talking to Moe (The Clam). This saves 32 frames. Im not sure if its optimal though so be careful!
0_o; Nice find! I'm suprised how much this improved the published run despite being a part that involves a conversation. Thanks! Also, about the progress, I was a bit busy with school and redoing the Spongebob/4 swords TAS, so I didn't go far. But with this trick, I think the rooms might still be improveable, so those will be checked. Thanks again. =D

I got a question. If a new version of VBA causes more/less lag for the GBX games, then current movies would desync. Does that mean they have to be redone?

Thanks to Tompa, the run has been improved by 52 frames due to his work on mainipulation, optimization, and route finding. Can someone please replace the current file with this?

I might be a little out of line for saying this, particularly given the differences in length between this movie and my example, but if this movie should be rejected due to being boring even with the luck manipulation, then shouldn't King's Bounty have been rejected too?
Well, I thought it was pretty hard to get bored from watching a 9.93 second video, and like what goldfish said, this run is wierd with a strange (non)ending and is also alot longer, along with being repetitive.

If you fix'd the GBA emulation, would runs made with VBA 23 or below sync?

This time I'm going to test some faster strategies, something that I "forgot" with your last submission. I saved two frames outside the castle before dropping down the hole. Possibly more to come!
Good Luck! Also, did you managed to have better luck with the 2 guards? I can't seem to get them to cooperate. I'll try to see if the last battle ccould end sooner. Edit: Ok, I've ended the battle 10 frames faster. Also, Tompa, incase you find a new strategy, I renamed the file to "LttP TAS v10 - jlun2,Tompa.vbm". Once you've finished your improvement, you can hex edit the 10 frame improvement in. =)

^^ Thanks. Since the autoscroller is mostly unhexable, can someone please help me find more improvements? BTW, I managed to save 2 frames; now a total of 16 frames ahead of the published run. WIP

I managed to improve the entrance of the last stage by 1 frame, and the second....room/trail by 9 frames. I also reordered the rooms/trails to complete due to the fact it appears slightly faster Nevermind, after some tests, it's actually slower. Wip Edit: Managed to save a total of 14 frames before the last trail/room. It finishes the rooms in the same order as the published run due to the fact that its actually the fastest order. WIP Any ideas for further improvement of the last two rooms in the WIP would be appreciated.

Sad, Happy? News: I found yet another improvement to the run, this time for every single boss battle. Unfortunately, when I tried to hex it in, it caused more lag in every stage, thus meaning I have to redo worlds 2 - 4 again. The improvement btw, involves pausing during a Boss Battle to speed it up. Thanks to this trick, it is now possible to enter a battle regardless of the length of the battle intro. Edit: Wip

I would like to add to MUGG's list. The game "Monster House" for the GBA, wont work for any of the Rerecording versions of VBA. It freezes randomly and flickers like crazy. It works fine with the normal version of VBA for a strange reason.

That was a great movie! You really inspire me! Maybe I'll do something like that in the future with another game! You're Awesome! Btw, what picture are you refering to that Nintendo doesn't want out?
