Idk, I never played OoT. Why not just collect everything tracked as mentioned by Cronikeys?

Not sure about: -all sidequests/bosses (they don't technically make you stronger to do unless they give you a unique item or ability) -all badges (unlike in paper mario, many badges can be accumulated multiple times. so when do you have to stop? 1 or more of every unique badge? enough of each badge type to fill 99 bp?)
There's a menu where you can view the badges you've collected, the recipes found, etc. It is like the enemy tattle log except with badges. So, I guess fill that up? Edit: You can sell the badges and the log will still be there. You just need to at least have the badge once.

I don't think that would save time (waddle dee goes left or attacks, sparky just jumps 1 or 2).
I was thinking killing the waddle doo, then go slightly past the sparky before heading left a bit to make the waddle doo reappear and walk right. But I can't seem to get the sparky and waddle doo to not attack.

Don't you have to backtrack anyway once you reach the Waddle Doo, since the Hot Head is at least a screen away and usually is walking to the left?
Hey, have you tried using Waddle Doo and Sparky to get the MIX ability instead of 2 waddle doos?

I'm slightly ashamed of this, but I must admit I don't understand the reference that comic is making.

I would've voted no for using an ingame "easter egg" if not for the fact the existing run was boring as heck. Yes vote.

Some moments in the trailer were genuinely funny, actually. I kind of have a dislike for the generic 'you must find macguffin x' type of plot, but eh, it could be worse.
Ikr? I mean, the whole thing could simply be solved by getting lost in a dungeon and buying the orb crown back! ...... That reminds me of something. Something yellow and square. This maybe?

The trick is everything before 9 seconds in the video. Rather than going back out the door, you'd continue down the stairs toward the final boss. I just go back out to show that the trigger zone is still there.
0_o Now I wonder what happens if you try to trigger the miniboss after you beat the shadow queen. :P

How does it skip it? You seem to be stuck during the dialogue before disappearing.

The only way to truly be sure if this works on console is to actually try and verify on console. I don't own the game so I can't go and do that. For posterity, though, here's a short list of what runs do and don't sync on the new PPU, all tested on PRG0: Orignal by CoolKirby - Syncs TASeditor 38.44 - Syncs MESHUGGAH 38.35 - Syncs MESHUGGAH 38.3 - Syncs was0x 37.39 - Syncs TASeditor 37.27 Personal note: wrong person - Syncs CoolKirby 37.26 Note: One FRAME - Crashes to a garbled screen MUGG 36.39 - Crashes to pink screen TASeditor 36.37 - Crashes to garbled screen.
Hey Ghost, in case you ever get to console verify this, it seems that the movie I tested synced well (until the crash) when I replaced the reset with a soft reset (by holding Start+Select+A+B).

MESHUGGAH's WIP
"Leaves the level 1 frame earlier by different ending (running and dash and U). Good luck with syncing."
What do you mean by "Good luck with syncing"? What causes it to desync? @TASeditor The wip you posted shows a pink screen at the end instead of the credits. =o

Last time, the run used resets which prevented console verification. Since this one doesn't, anyone willing to see if it syncs on console? Btw, awesome run! Let the frame wars begin!

Experience. 'nuff said. ... Whaaaaat? I'm good at this game! >:/ Edit: I already know how powerful Patrick's combo attack is. I'll use it for Grouper Snot, but for Sandy, the crates are MUCH easier and quicker. And I'll be using either Sandy's combo move or Squid's jump kick on the other bosses. You'll see. Another Edit: hey, uh just wondering, but I started watching your test run, and so far it is syncing well, but either it somehow is working while still playing very badly, or you need to optimize ALOT. Which version of the emulator are you using? ... Oh you said casual play, my bad. Then i guess i do have the right emulator. ^^' unfortunately, i can't use your run as a verification movie since you collected treasures --' darn
Oh.....I forgot about that. Hey, why not you start from a new game, and record how you beat the bosses so I can check whether or not your methods are faster or not in TAS settings.

Ok, I'm at alantis. how did you beat the game in 40 mins? It took me literally that long to beat all the way to alantis. Btw, for pretty much all enemies, use patrick's combo attack. Sure you need to collect shells, but just take a look at the bosses I did and see how fast it is compared to your listed methods. Test Run

This is a very interesting find. Perhaps bosses & enemies have a threshold for their health when near a certain "rank" value? I'd also like to see if grenades and RLs affect the rank, because explosive weapons do not affect the accuracy shown at the end of chapters. Do you know how to find other values, such as the RNG so we can manipulate enemy drops? Btw, can I ask you to run my dtm file? You seem to have the correct ISOs to run the game, but you'd need to use a different Dolphin build.
And let me guess, if you made a new run, you still wouldn't submit it here unless someone pays you puts audio commentary in a foreign language, right?

Its not a useful bug, its a bug that'll desync the verification movie. I don't really feel like explaining it right now, but it's something I feel like restarting for. Anyways, I'm really good at this game, so playing through it casually should be easy (as long as the emulator MAPS the input while i record the verification movie and not be RETARTED (i never use that word, why am i using that word?) while I try to record the verification movie -_- )
Now that I got that* out of the way, I've got a new computer again (again) and I'm sort of free until tomorrow, so I guess I can movie file that casually records through the game. You took 40:16.00 huh? I'll see if it can go lower. *Something to do with harddrives. Edit: Sandy was a fun boss, but who knew using spongebob while holding patrick kills sandy really fast?

Did we actually took a discussion about TASing a game about an elf kid and somehow turn it into a discussion on Autism? TAS + Ocarina of Time = Autism? How do you you even do that?
