Congrats! How did you guys do this so fast?

Im not sure if you know this already, but during the first time the Shadow Queen becomes invincible, you have to attack her at least once, right? Well, you can save a turn if the audience, or a stage prop manages to attack her. It'll do no damage, but at least it counts as an attempt to attack her.
This turned out to be false. After we finally were able to manipulate a stage prop to fall on her, we found it didn't count as an attack after all.
Eh? How did that particular section go again?
1. Becomes Invincible
2. Attack
3. Atack again?
4. End battle and start cutscene
Mind showing an encode of what happens if an auidience/prop attacked?
I think I had a savefile right before the last boss. I hope something can come out of this.
Edit: Uh...I don't have a savefile right before the last boss. Can you please make one from the movie for me?
Just a quick question: what happens to the old run now it doesn't have a vaultable goal?
Oh, and congrats. A two-hour obsoletion of a seven-year-old movie. Those don't happen very often.
EDIT: I also believe that those figures warrant a "major improvement" tag.
Regarding this run's relationship to the fuller run, I've considered this as an obsoletion for it. However, that other run seems to actually play through the whole game instead of skipping most of it via various glitches. Therefore I do not think this should obsolete it. We'll need to come up with some name for that run to reflect its full state, and I'm currently accepting this run as the standard any% run.
This reminds me of Dragon Warrior 3 "no item glitch"'s case.
I don't know why people seem to insist on keeping it from being obsoleted despite the ratings have indicated the old run isn't all that entertaining even back then. :P
I think it is not a vaultable movie, and bordline at best for moons.
It is fast and obviously inhuman, so it does have some "entertainment value" in the way that we look for when judging moons. So I vote meh.
I do think it does the bare minimum when more effort could yield a much better result. We think we would all would agree that an all modes movie would be much more impressive and entertaining.
I agree. In fact, imo it seems to resemble this run and feels like a WIP more than an actual full game submission.
I have a request. Can a small icon be placed next to a movie's name when a user is logged on that appears if said user has rated the movie? This'll be convenient so that users won't have to click "Rate this movie" to check if they had done so already.
Hello, I'm doing some testruns on a game, I did a lua script; but when loading a savestate, the lua loads the value of the frame before I loaded.
And even without lua, the status doesn't update, example
I turn Read+Write mode on a movie
I have to press frame advance for getting Read+Write turned on.
For the former, it's an annoying bug regarding the lua display which I got through by loading a savestate 2 frames before the value for the frame I want.
For the second bug, are you sure it's a bug with the status or a display bug? If you turned on Read+Write, would it toggle it on in the menu bar as well but not the gui?
Online Java Compiler - Saves me the time from downloading Java on certain computers.
Programmer's Notepad - I use it to hexedit DS input files, write scripts, and as a general replacement of notepad.
Uh.....
For a tetris run, which involves heavy luck manipulation, 26 rerecords seem suspiciously low.
Anyways, voted "No" for pretty much the same reason as another run here minus the slow-mo.
I never understand this logic, and it's been mentioned for a few other runs now too, this idea of "this movie has an inappropriate goal choice for the Vault and should hence be moved to Moons". Why is it never "this movie has an inappropriate goal choice for Vault and should hence be obsoleted"? To make my explanation clearer, this table:
entertaining, any %: moons
entertaining, exotic goal choice: moons
boring, any %: vault
boring, exotic goal choice: do not publish
So when Vault runs (which are boring, that's why they're Vault runs) are no longer any% runs, they should be obsoleted. They don't suddenly become entertaining when they no longer feature the shortest route.
Well, based on the original submission thread, it was popular enough to warrant acceptance at that time, so I guess this is one of those runs that didn't managed to stay popular over time. I think this also applies to another run.
We discussed that earlier in this thread. Pocket Monsters Green is considered a different game than Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow, so that movie and the Yellow one can both remain published as any% runs.
Er...let me reword my question:
"Wouldn't a vault version be something akin to the Pokemon Yellow TAS in that it should also utilize save corruption to skip to the Hall of Fame as soon as it starts?"
Edit: In other words, this would be a "memory corruption" run just like the Pokemon Blue run recently submitted and should be a moon tier rather than vault tier.
Do you think that a main game run would actually be worth pursuing? Also the possible chances of this even being accepted is uncertain. I want to know your opinions.
Well, imo:

Well that's pretty good. It would be good to use a different version for the other run. Would this run have been slower with leaf green?
Fire Red and Leaf Green are equally fast for any%. Not in the 'Well, they're basically the same game' sense, in the any% path there are literally no differences you care about, and IIRC cries don't take different amounts of time like they did in RBY.
As long as the above isn't the case (which I'm sure isn't) then it should be acceptable. Although you better ask a judge for opinions just to be safe.
There is a trick to steal and not die, even after you enter the shop post theft.
Steal the item
Return to the shop
After the shopkeeper starts the death attack, press A+B+Start+Select at once.
You should get the Continue or Save and Quit Menu.
Select Save and Quit.
The game clears the "kill" flag and you can still have no deaths.
Yeah, but that would be cheating.
The run already abuses glitches already. Might as well go all out and do that.
By the way,how to upload the screenshot here?
Go here:
http://imgur.com/
Upload the image there. Click on it. Now copy the image url and paste it on the submission.
That's a fairly good idea, really. I guess if tasvideos has an equivalent of "no large skips" it is "no memory corruption" because anything less glitchy than that doesn't really seem to warrant a new category. For example, nobody has yet produced a low-glitch Megaman, and that run is incredibly broken.

Also, why is that a vault run? Wouldn't a vault version be something akin to the Yellow TAS?
