I've seen a worse run qualifyng for vault that doesn't have even a true single yes vote. So This run truly deserves it.
Wait, so is this support for moons or not? It seems max score runs aren't eligible for vault, so what's with the vault comparison?

Try tracing back from the end of your vbm to see how early input/events affects the glitch.

I want to do more testing before I start on a TAS. I don't want it to be "hit or miss". When I worked on an Earthbound TAS with pirohiko in 2010ish, I wasn't sure how reliable the tent glitch would be but I did know it could be reproduced if I tried long enough. I want that kind of reliability before I make a TAS with the credits glitch in MLSS.
Have you tried the glitch for different regional versions to see if any of them has a higher chance of getting the credits?

I like it. I think it's a nice touch, as long as it doesn't waste any time. Did you mean to make that movie on FCEUX 2.1.4 though? I thought you were making this run on 2.2.2.
Thanks for your opinion on the stage! :) Also, I am using 2.2.2, it's just that I resynced my previous WIP so that I could compare it without much trouble.

Nice! In the description, you mentioned this as TAS only. How exact does the jumping need to be for this to work? :o

108 frames saved. I tried several different ways to go up/down the ladders, and this seems to be the fastest. WIP
First stage: Frames 125 - 1599 = 1474 Second stage: Frames 1795 - 2884 = 1089 Now here's the converted file for the 1st 2 stages: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/12057803437825232 First stage: Frames 103 - 1584 = 1481 (7 frames lost wtf?) Second stage: 1780 - 2869 = 1089 (Same as above) The difference between the 2 files at the 2nd stage end equals 15 frames. However, the game lagged 7 frames less to get the 1st stage to load, yet somehow my loses 7 frames again at the end. How does this even work? Especially since its not even from lag. :o Edit: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/12059802461447455 I've redone the entire 1st stage to make it jump to the music. Uh..... Since Mothrayas just made me aware that board games are legible for moon tier at least, and the current run is indeed in that tier, I wonder if this has a chance of publication now? :o Also somewhat related, but does this game also use uninitialized RAM in a way that affects the RNG?

Are the glitched lines in the encode during the battle with Hot Sauce Bandito normal? :o Nice going under the platform at the Jungle Fish lol. The way you entered the Jellyfish battle was quite unexpected. About that platform boost in Dutch under, is it only that spot it works? Can it be triggered elsewhere useful as well? Oh, and yes vote. I like this screenshot:

I guess it should be at least reworded to allow them in a case-by-case submission so that runs like the current Monopoly run would have a chance of being improved rather than stuck with only a faster TAS being mentioned in the movie description.

100% in Pokémon is normally considered full Pokédex, isn't it? I don't believe 564M is vaultable, anyway, via the definition of the vault. (I disagree with jlun2's point 3, though; glitching a percentage counter to show 100 is not normally considered 100% completion.)
Well, is there anyway to get all pokemon in g2 without memory corruption? But on topic, I can see what you mean by memory corruption =/= 100%, but I guess if a 100% run is entertaining enough it could go to moon tier and the memory glitch run be vaulted.

Is there anyone who really thinks that 564M can be seen as an 100% run? It's clearly an any% run (and thus obsolete). When it was published, it was the fastest-known way to complete the game, and it was published as an any% run.
Also, the fact 564M is still counted as a separate run atm might make pokemon g/s/c end up with a similar mess as the G1 pokemon TASes regarding branches. :o

A cool run. Like the way you took apart the entire game to get to a result this fast. For what it's worth, I think board, sports and game show games should primarily be considered "serious games" and be eligible for Vaulting. Why block out entire game genres like this? It's already required that a Vaultable game should have an ending and that its gameplay should stand out as something superhuman (among the other rules). If those rules are fulfilled, by all means, it shouldn't matter what genre the game is.
I also agree. I think it should be done case by case, since some board games, like monopoly, does have superhuman elements that distinguish it from normal play, while some like Chess, doesn't. Also, the same could be said for other games as well like Warioware, so a better rule would be to allowing any game as long as it stands out + actually compete-able regardless of genre.

Well, since [564] GBC Pokémon: Gold Version by FractalFusion in 2:54:27.15 is still in the vault for some reason, I got points for why it should be obsoleted by the current TAS. 1. "no memory corruption" is an unvaultable goal. Since memory corruption is essential for the run to be fast as possible, this means in terms of speed, a non-memory glitch run would always be slower. 2. "All gyms run branch" can technically be considered 100%, but unfortunately, the movie itself is STILL sub-optimal. Patashu pretty much summarized it all:
Patashu wrote:
It's best described as glitchless, not all gyms. I'm pretty sure all gyms would get instant victory glitch and bulldoze through the game.
3. The above itself is STILL unvaultable, since according to the gold/silver/crystal thread, a TAS can pretty much manipulate memory and just set the flag for all gym badges + Red beaten.

Why is the music uncharacteristically "space-like"? I keep thinking that aliens would be the "foreboding, ancient evil", and it's not helped by the fact the Barbarians and Shaman's overworld sprite resembles little green men. >.> Similarly, at the final stage the music for when it's your turn sounds more appropriate for a final stage than when it's the enemies turn. (Which oddly enough, shows a picture of an armoured suit when the overworld sprite is a skeleton.)

This is possibly our first TAS for a game difficulty mode that's designed to be utterly impossible? Just to show how ridiculous it gets - I'm pretty good at this game, and in RJM difficulty I can't even get past the second room... I dare anyone to try that in a non-TAS playthrough :D
If you meant for the site, then well... Anyways, on the first page, Tseralith mentioned that this mode was close to impossible to finish outside of TAS. Makes me wonder does that mean someone has done it before. :o

Regarding the movie's entertainment, I vote "meh". Now I know there are runs that don't zip all over the place yet still be enjoyable to watch, but with how the current run zipping through a whole lot (while still going through all the stages unlike the first megaman), it was kind of difficult for me to be in awe.

I'm hoping someone can eventually test the Blues Brothers TAS because of this issue:
This run desyncs with fceux-2.2.2-win32 at the very beginning due to loading 15 frames faster. If said amount of frames were removed, it then desyncs at 4th stage because it misses a pipe.

Uh.... [1390] NES The Blues Brothers by J.Y in 03:39.77 This run desyncs with fceux-2.2.2-win32 at the very beginning due to loading 15 frames faster. If said amount of frames were removed, it then desyncs at 4th stage because it misses a pipe. I want to continue my TAS of this again, but I got no clue which fceux behavior is more accurate. This is what happens: Link to video

Why do I keep hearing a male voice every now and then from the main character if she's female and her usual voice is distinctively so? I'm actually quite fine with the slower pace of the run since at least it was still entertaining. I'm just wondering why it took 2 years for a normal run to popup after the Albus version. :o

It works because there is a 4 frame delay before Flurrie is activated and there is a 1 frame window to open the door before she becomes activated. This only works for doors to places in the same loading zone. Basically you cannot do this through cut-scenes, loading zone transitions, or anything of that sort.
Does that work for chests? Also, I'm wondering how much you can explore the space station early using just the flurrie slide.
