Thank you so much, men! If any other members are going to share their common usage of savestates, I can make some summarizing page for newbies in TASing & link it somewhere on wiki. I was always afraid how can I remember what I have saved on each slot & use them properly, and I've not tried yet, that's kind of phobia lol.

Yup, how do TASers use slots in their daily work? I mean, how you guess that you need to make a savestate & how you decide to which slot to save? I've never TASed normal way, only with tasedit, so this was interesting me for all the time. Detailed answers (with examples maybe) are appreciated.

I am for adding a graph into submission that faces the version just like it does for rerecord count or so.

The last scanline of level BG isn't darkened in Jungle Book & James Bond It is so not every frame though. AnS: can we find out how the picture would look without this darkening? It will be like on these scanlines.

Yeah, even submissions don't mention the emu version sometimes. But I suggest not only some tag about the version, but even a link to it. Or we shall have a list of all used versions with links.

FCM Battletoads won't sync on FCEUX even after some editing. You'd likely have to redo all the run. Adelikat said this is because of different emulation of the 7th mapper. It also has Raw PCM samples wich may cause desync (not sure about that). One more frame of lag here & there - and you get acceleration broken.

Yeah, but for acceptable resising I had to make the screen separation space a bit higher. Because I refused adding black borders.

Nestopia has a function of increasing yellow. But I still don't know if it's supposed to emulate the discussed subject (though its NTSC filter is awesome)

moozooh I mean very few people even now can adequately understand the phenomenon of TAS. They keep thinking it's the simplification of gaming, while it actually is its complication. Almost nothing can change their minds. It's because they used to play with no saves at all too much. [/offtopic]

moozooh AnS' articles were almost unachievable via random googling, only my WikiPedia article gathered all links to them. So I can hardly say he was really popularising TAS. He just geve SOME info in SOME good articles. but the main concept of TASing stayed almost unnoticed. But having the actual Russian branch we can give some explanations of HOW TO TAS, submit & encode. It was my desire as you know.

It's not a secret who would hold Russian branch. But since russians are VERY little interested in TASing (know it from discussing it on different our forums & sites), I really don't know if there's need to add RU forum. moozooh, what do you think? If one is created, I can make a little PR on our forums to encourage people to post XD
