It's nice to see you credited him this time. No vote, but nice improvement.
Can you explain the reason for your vote? I would like to understand, what I can improve here.
Not enjoying how an improvement looked doesn't mean there's a better improvement. Improvements are instant accept in most cases. I didn't watch it though.

EDIT: Since it is a community issue, not a legal one, applying some random lisence is cool, but it's not how we GET this working. We just must set a community rule added here that if you actually redo someone's input, adjusting it, you own it completely, if you directly copypaste segments, both authors own it and must be credited. The weird part here is that we aim for optimality, which means different people may come up with identical input segments. We still have no way to force anyone here, just give an advice to specify whether it was copied, and ask to add a co-author if it was. As an act of fair respect to work we do here. However there might be a way to claim your authorship for some input. For example, if speed-unrelated moves are identical to yours, you do that. But I'm still not sure how to be with speedy solutions unrelated to entertainment - it's the matter of optimality, and one can fairly TRY his best improving//changing that input, but not succeed. I'd suggest ignoring isolated tricks copypaste and not co-author them. Only if your movement fashion was directly copied.

Yearly event with lots of tasty stuff, featuring quite some of our members and friends. Penultimate year DK was presenting the nesbot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQXVgMKJEDY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN1yEOVYyAQ Last year PJ was glitchfesting Battletoads: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SFUmjs9E1c Now we're going to see Tompa playing DKC, Battletoads&DoubleDragon glitchfest by PJ and Mecha Richter (I helped finding new glitches), also some stuff from: Greenalink, Carl Sagan, Sinister1, Duckfist, Funkdoc, KennyMan666, Emptyeye, and others. http://marathon.speeddemosarchive.com/schedule Watch it on http://www.twitch.tv/speeddemosarchivesda and likely on http://marathon.speeddemosarchive.com/ itself.

Skullman stage has all those moving platforms and waiting periods derailing the desired pace. Hotarubi gets a baloon to fly right through all these. There's also a bird to cross gaps. Did you test getting a baloon or a bird first, probably baloon stage can be better passed with sliding than skullman one. Overall, the hack is just a bomb, it's going to be a tas of the year when finished.

Fixed sound desync manually. Also, had to use a messed up screenshot. Someone please replace with this one (compressed). http://higgs.rghost.ru/42596674/image.png

Great news! Now it's time to redo the SNES TAS, because that is outdated. :D
Since Dooty may refuse redoings once he starts, you better preliminarily describe the features of each level he is about to start. For example, let's start from the first level. What is DIFFERENT and special there?

What I am suggesting is a replay file format that has the ability to save and load savestates while you are watching the movie. It is very different than what the fm3 files do.
And it is very strange logically. In FM3 you can watch a movie, reach some savestate point, load an existing savestate, which contains different input branch, and watch the alternate route. You see how you reach savepoint by the Branch tree look. Or you can just JUMP to that point from later or earlier point and watch again. I guess what you talk about is kinda prerecorded automation of actions, which are applied to the project itself. Like it can be done in Notepad++. But I can't see how this weird feature is critical in any situation. The only disadvantages in FM3 are the amount of slots and that you load them manually.

I'm still waiting for emulator developers to create "meta-movies" that preserve savestate use. That way you could show an outtake reel in a TAS. They wouldn't be submittable for publication, for obvious reasons, but they'd be a nice and efficient way to show off a series of tricks or glitches, if a movie file itself had the power to save and load savestates.
