Ah, duly noted! Quite related to:
I was not aware of this, but WOW what a glitch! If I ever do a V2 of this run I'll be incorporating that along with some other aforementioned timesavers.
Edit: Tested it. It would at most save a few frames in the early Hoth levels, since it's pretty much the same as the Levitate-Sliding that's done later on during and after Dagobah.

Voting No. The new tricks are cool, but the category is very derivative of the currently published 100% run. I feel these new tricks would be better served being implemented into that.

Kurabupenguin is correct, can a mod please move this?
Also the title 'Not a TAS' is incredibly inaccurate considering how it uses tools to assist speedrunning it. With frame-perfect inputs. It's pretty much akin to 2005/2004 TASes. Plus, it's amazing all around.

I think it'd probably be best to only use Yellow to get a complete Gold/Silver Pokedex and not use it for overall completion. Elsewise it would just be a repeat of the current Blue/Red 100% run.

Reviving this 11 year old topic to let people know I might maybe work on this. We'll see.
Edit: I'll do a small writeup while I'm waiting for real life things to move like the moon.
Batman's fastest form of movement is rolling, which saves about 10 frames each time it is performed. Some enemies are able to hit him out of a roll, so the fastest way to deal with that is to either dodge them or pick them up for a frame, which resets their attack counter so you can roll on your merry way.
Those zips in the second section are very interesting, as it's because the game doesn't know where to place Batman while grappling. He's basically dipping down into the floor's collision while swinging. I have yet to see if this is exploitable in later stages.
The fastest way to kill the first boss is to do two aerial kicks and then do some form of a move while on the ground. Batman stays stunned for much less time on the ground since he doesn't need to fall first.

If he gets hit more then two times when not in its 'drill', it'll split into smaller bats and relocate around the room. It's faster to get in 2 critical attacks, and then wait for it to be open so he can be damage glitched.
