There is a minimum amount of time that has to go by before a level starts. As long as both players get to the bottom of the scree within that time, no time is lost.
In this TAS no time is lost unless it is intentional to manipulate letters.

This is as good as (U)[!] if you ask me. This site has some games played on Japanese versions also, as they might be faster.
JUE is as good as U. No problems here.
At the start of the video, during the "WARNING" screen, I enter B-A-down-A-Start-Start. This is technically a cheat code, but it only allows the player to input special passwords and does not affect gameplay on its own. The only reason I use it is that it makes the warning screen go away more quickly (normally it stays up for about five seconds). Is this okay?

This movie doesn't seem like a genre that would normally be publishable. However, I did enjoy watching your WIPs. I say keep going with it.

I think, instead of being directly attached to a published TAS, it should be independent. I.E. best Lua Coder of the Year, or best Lua Script of the Year.
The best Lua script might have a caveat of requiring posting to TAStools. That would encourage open source sharing of Lua Scripts!

I respectfully disagree with that assessment. Symphony of the Night was the most "never seen before" as we have never even had Playstation TASes before. I voted SOTN due to being something fresh and new. In addition it is a very nicely optimized TAS on a brand new platform of a brand new emulator. I was also very impressed with the trick/glitches/and routes demonstrated in it.
