Ditto.
About a year ago Comicalflop did a TAS of this game and showed it to me and a few people. That was pretty much our verdict and it wasn't submitted.

Moozooh missed a semi-important point. Even if it hadn't been submitted here, this run was already seen by thousands of people since it was already on Nicovideo.

I think your conclusion involves a misconception. For publication purposes, time gained by text speed is irrelevant.
Let's use a hypothetical numbers:
a USA movie that is 51 minutes
a J movie that is 50 minutes
time saved using Japanese text: 1 minute
For Judgement purposes these movies are functionally equivalent. Time savers such as text are irrelevant. Game play is what matters.
In fact, the history of the J vs U rule is in this very issue. Comparisons in the early days were difficult and so it was hard to discern how the ROM change affected the final time. Thus, to save that kind of confusion, the (flexible) rule was adopted.
Also, there are numerous exceptions to this rule throughout the site history. Both of J ROMs obsoleting U ROMs and vice versa.

I guess I should clear up these points:
1) This movie will not be rejected due to using the J ROM (that isn't to say it won't be rejected but that it will not be a factor)
2) If published a new run is still preferred to be a U ROM choice. Text has nothing to do with the improvements. Thus a U ROM can be a slower time than this provided that it is proven to be as a result of the text (which is on the author to prove).
3) A publication will not set a precedent for a J ROM for this movie or any other. Rather be an exception to the rule due to extreme circumstances.
These issues are non-debatable.
Also, people, please use some common sense.

Also, I want to thank abeshi for kindly submitting his movie to our site.
Having watched the entire TAS, I'd say I like it a lot more than the published movie. I also vote yes.

I got it to sync.
You must use v1.1 and you must use every plugin he listed. Also note that the input plugin must be the same too or else desync.
For the RSP plugin:
must be set to process alists inside the rsp
And you must do the Copy frame buffer option like he said.
Getting that option is tricky though. Go to Utilities -> video settings and uncheck the "Hide advanced settings" then close the dialog box.
Repoen it and there will be an advanced settings tab with that option listed.
He uses a few unusual plugins
Don't you love watching movies on plugin based emulators?

Fixed.
On an interesting note, by the time it took me to click the link, check that the url was incorrect and then click the edit button, the TAS had beaten the game.

I've done some significant changes to the admin structure of TASVideos and reassigned some users.
We now have 2 "vice-admin" roles: Queue manager and Administrative assistant.
Details on these roles can be found on the Staff main tab. Additional info can be found on the Admin guidelines
mmbossman has been assigned the queue manager role.
sgrunt has been granted the admin assistant role.

I updated the forum ranks to includes user's player rank as a part of their forum rank.
Under the new system, a player is still their usual player rank. But an editor that is also a player will be editor/player. A judge that is an expert player will be judge / expert player.
As an added bonus, the Player rank is more automated, so a user will immediately have a player rank once their first movie is published (and publishers no longer have to remember to manually change this).

I've wanted the ability to see a category on Subs-List.html for quite some time. I think it could be a good addition to the submission form. I'll put this on the TODO

The mission statement says to use hardest difficulty in certain situations, otherwise use easiest.
In some cases both could be warranted.
It is worth noting.
