I'm glad you were able to get it to work! This though makes me wonder if WRAM high is a better default.

I dont' know the internals of Saturn, but maybe you need to pick the correct Memory Domain (Settings -> Memory Domain in the Ram search Dialog). (It isn't likely this is the case though, but worth looking into) I would recommend trying to find some addresses on "simpler" and more tested platforms like NES. Maybe go to the SMB Game Resources page, and manually find the addresses listed there to prove you can, and that the Ram Search tool isn't the culprit.

Then you aren't who I was directing the question to at all. (You seem to be trying to dominate the situation here) I'm asking the now 19 people who are voting for the glitched/any option.

So you don't agree that it is a contradiction?

I addressed that already. If we remove this contradiction, we get into many other troubles. If we force clarity in one place, it breaks in others. *A lot of stuff I expect everyone to read thoroughly, and will re-link everytime they dont'*
So I hear you answering the question as "We know it is a contradiction and dont' care, it is the lesser of two evils". If this is correct, please confirm. And thanks for the answer.

How does it not make sense there? This isn't an outlier. any% means "as fast as possible regardless of % completed, anything goes". It contradicts the meaning when there is a faster run than that. It doesn't make sense to say "As fast as possible" and then say "Faster"

This is why we made PSXjin all those years ago. It has text based input, or any other issue brought up here with PCSX-rr. It should be used, unless you have a good reason otherwise.

Be careful of using the JIT version for TASing, it may or may not be deterministic (prone to desyncs).

BizHawk's N64 controller, Memory Pak is set to Auto ON. However, some games do not work with it. It is only a small fraction of games, but I would like an ON/OFF option.
What is an example of a game that does not work with the memory pak?
This is an individual matter, but is it possible to add the video plugin z64gl? When I try mupen+, there are a few games which work better with it than Rice or Glidemk2.

In Virtual Pads, the lower part of the N64 Analog window is cut off, and clicking cannot set it to -128 (only up to -108).
Are you sure that is still happening? Works fine for me.
As for USB Controller reaction, it is allowed to put input exceeding the range of the possibility of a normal N64 controller, but it serves as a obstacle to one part of gameplay. I would like some kind of option (like a checkbox) to prevent exceeding the range.
That's a nice idea. But what is the "normal" range that should not be exceeded?

I have no doubt that it's already been mentioned, but why not just have 4 options? "do you think this movie should be published" Yes - moons Yes - vault No - some reason Other - reason/s posted.
The problem here is that the Vault has little to know subjective criteria. You don't need to say "It was worth publishing to vault even though I wasn't entertained", if the submissions qualifies it will get published there. And it will whether or not majority opinion agrees. What if we have a play around, and everyone voted "Yes - vault"? It still wouldn't go to the vault, and worse yet we aren't left with the necessary information to make a decision: whether or not people were simply entertained by this movie.

I would agree, at which point I would argue that this option doesn't have much value at all then. Even if everyone votes this way, it will just be "up to the judge because no one cares", a situation more concisely stated as "meh" What I'm arguing is that a silent vote of sub-optimial-ness has basically no value, but being in a poll deceptively suggests it does.

For those who dont' like reading, Warp's opinion can be stated more simply (correct me if I'm wrong): He wants to (in the poll), be able to express that while he was not entertained, he found the movie to be high technical quality (or not). Also, I'd like to pose a scenario in a Warp suggested poll: Poll: Were you entertained? 0 votes Yes, but there was problems with it, 12 votes No 0 votes 0 comments in the thread As a judge do you reject this because it is sub-optimal? Despite the overwhelming vote results towards it, you aren't left with any information from which to make a reasonable descision are you?

Thank you, those are very nice bug reports! Detailed repro steps, use of the issue tracker, and even a post here as bonus. That's how you report a bug!

1) There are no active devs on vba-rr. There hasn't been a release in quite some time. 2) TASEditor is a HUGE undertaking, it took years of dedicated development for AnS to do that in FCEUX. I have never successfully done it in BizHawk, mine was crude and barely did anything useful.

This is the correct answer. Note: "at the end of your movie" can be more precisely stated as "the frame from which you want to resume", which may not necessarily be your last frame.

I did various tests BizHawk 1.5.3's N64. There were fatal exception errors. ●I create a bkm doing Record Movie->Movie From->Now, and Stop Movie at a suitable length. Whenever I do Play Movie or Stop Movie on this bkm, the bkm state's binary becomes erased. When it is erased, an error occurs and it cannot be replayed. ●In Record Movie, if the check for "Make default author" is removed, the save data is reset. ●In Ram Watch, Freeze Address does not work. ●In Virtual Pads, the lower part of the N64 Analog window is cut off, and clicking cannot set it to -128 (only up to -108). From here, these are option problems. ●Regarding Paper Mario freezing problem, selecting CPU Core in BizHawk's N64 solves the problem. I checked in mupen+, but Pure Interpreter is the one that solves the problem. ●BizHawk's N64 controller, Memory Pak is set to Auto ON. However, some games do not work with it. It is only a small fraction of games, but I would like an ON/OFF option. ●As for USB Controller reaction, it is allowed to put input exceeding the range of the possibility of a normal N64 controller, but it serves as a obstacle to one part of gameplay. When I try mupen+, there are a few games which work better with it than Rice or Glidemk2. The #1 Software Rendering "SoftGraphic HLE plugin v1.5" can be used, but since mupen+ has no plugin set, that is a different problem.
The serious thing is not repaired although such easy faults are corrected. It is very worrisome.
This is why a forum isn't working for bug reports. I never saw this post. Please post things in the issue tracker! From here on out, if you don't post on the tracker, don't expect it to ever be fixed. The noise is too high so I miss important posts. I will not stop following this thread. Btw, Do NOT START FROM NOW on N64, it doesn't work, this is known, and untrivial to fix. Will be fixed one day. I feel like again, that due to noise in this thread, people don't see this.

I'd vote yes, but I don't think authors should vote on their own submissions.

all releases come with default.json, that's the input settings that are put into the config when you reset your input (or fresh start). So if you want, just edit that and reuse it. However, keep in mind that even input config is subject to changes (new cores, new peripherals)
