Are you using 11.0 by chance? 11.1 fixes that.

Sorry for asking this again, but I'm having a bad time with those functions: string forms.getproperty(int handle, string property) void forms.setproperty(int handle, string property, object value) Whenever I try to get a property, the console writes: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. And when I try to set the property of a checkbox (or buttons etc), during the creation of a form, it doesn't work, giving: LuaInterface.LuaScriptException: <value> Therefore, I don't know what property is and what the value object is. Can someone illuminate me here? I just wanted to checkbox the default options, without the player having to press each one everytime they initiate a script.
These are experiemental "use at your own risk" methods. They use reflection to look for properties in the object with the name you give. Set can only set things that can be translated from lua to C# succesfully (which is very limited). For a reference of what you can or can't get as a property, refer to .Net winforms documentation

if you rename a .mcr as a .saveram, it should work. I don't know about any of the others.

1) Currently there is not an auto-hide mouse cursor option for full screen, that could probably be built pretty easily though 2) Entering cheats for NES games in BizHawk is almost identical to FCEUX, it would be the same thing. If you mean copying over your .cht files, then no probably not. our .cht file format is probably not the same. Though it is the same basic information, so a converter is a buildable thing (though to my knowledge, no one has built such a thing)

For the record, I would like to see nightmare TASes too, but I also like UV TASes. And I think both should be published along side each other if/when we get such submissions.

I remember Brushy found a frame improvement in level 1. I don't if frame rules and such might negate it or not. I think the most likely place to find a few frames is in the level 1 boss. I attempted to improve level 1, but gave up when I realized how much of a fight it would be for every single frame and rather ungratifying overall.

Probably not. However, I do want to see support the z64 video plugin at least. It seems to be a pretty good plugin. However, like all the others, it has its pros and cons, and wouldn't be a clear winner, just yet another choice

Utter n00b question: How do you watch Mario's speed in BizHawk? I'd ask in Newbie corner, but that looked better for general questions rather than something so specific.
I think asking here, you are more likely to simply get the address handed to you (or you will be ignored). If you want to know how to obtain this yourself, you would use Ram Search, and then you would monitor it via Ram Watch. How to do all this, is a more appropriate discussion in the newbie corner. I think what you should want is the latter, and you should ask there, and I think I can help you with that.

I'm late to the party, but I just wanted to say I really like the goal choices in this run. I've often been critical of arbitrary goal choices and tend to seem conservative in what I find acceptable. But in reality, I just have very high standards. I think this run is a great example of carefully crafting choices into a really good TAS. The run features what other runs don't (a very important detail with new categories), but fits them together in a common theme (difficulty), and made an entertaining result overall. It isn't enough to simply smoosh a bunch of new things in a run, they need to make sense together, and this movie does that well. Well done. I still like grant better for TASes as he has very interesting possibilities and this run does suffer a bit in lack of variety by using the same character. But, nonetheless this is very entertaining and enjoyable movie

We are going to be phasing out support for PCSX-based emulators. So if you creating or are thinking about creating PSX runs, please read our important announcement.

I hope this doesn't come off as rushed or pretentious, but since we usually give plenty of time during the depecration process, I wanted to go ahead and get this going. With the official release of the PSX core of Bizhawk, we want to move away from PCSX-rr and PSXjin for publications at TASVideos. BizHawk uses the mednafen PSX core which is VERY good. It is highly accurate with a good architecture with long term value. PCSX, on the other hand, is a lost cause and below the minimum standards we generally have. Because it was the only option, we reluctantly supported it many years ago. TO give an idea of accuracy, note the results of these accuracy tests. Mednafen tops the charts at 81% (as of this writing) where PCSX-R is only 48.9%. Note that PCSX-R is the reloaded fork, which is an improved version compared to the PCSX core used for rerecording!. Note: we try to be emulator agnostic. We aren't saying that BizHawk is the only option. But the mednafen core itself is the only open source core that is up to our standards. We are saying mednafen-based emulators are approved, and PCSX-based emulators are not. Like the depcreation of Mupen I want to set hard date such as December 31, 2016. But, like that thread, I don't want it to be a hard date. If you are currently working on a TAS using PCSX-rr or PSXjin, please report it here, and I want to accommodate your needs, within reason. There are many problems with PCSX and PSXjin, including horrible unreliable sync, and horrible emulation (such as all the extra lag in some games in PSXjin). So I would encourage everyone to consider restarting rather than continuing with these emulators. You will probably save time in the long run. One of the main reasons we want to no longer accept these emulators, other than accuracy, and the subpar TASing experience, is the difficulty of encoding. Our publishers are amazing and very dedicated. But their time is very valuable too. And the time it takes to get movies to sync, and to fight the bugs in order to get a decent encode is tremendous with these emulators. Accepting PCSX-rr and PSXjin movies means a big cost to our publishers time. Anyway, feel free to discuss here, and again, please report any TASes you are wanting to finish on one of these emulators.

Oops, we will need to fix that
2) The PSX page says: Unreleased, not approved for TASVideos submissions Ported from mednafen to Bizhawk by zeromus last edited by zeromus on 2015-07-15 00:02:34 So, is it approved or not?
It is approved, the wiki hasn't been updated yet.
Edit: by the way, what is the official name of this core, PSXHawk or Octoshock?
imo, it is PSXHawk

Oh, you mean the long delay before the pause menu appears? That's an emulation bug that's been around for a long time in N64 emulators. The code of the N64 core would probably have to be modified in order to fix it, and I'm not sure if there's a solution for it out there yet.
Try different plugins and different settings. There's tons of options all of which hack around some bug or another. That's how you are supposed to use N64 emulators.

What version of BizHawk? The latest is 1.10.0, download that if you are using anything earlier Try moving all the files from the /dll folder and put them in the same folder as EmuHawk.exe If that doesn't work, try manually installing .net 4.0 Let us know if any of this fixes your problem

I don't think is as entertaining as the NES version. However, it is still quite entertaining, and has its own feel. This was an easy yes vote for me.

6400% speed translates to 3840fps. Good luck finding a core that can run at that speed for you.

It is the limit put on the speedup/down hotkeys. You can overcome that limit by using lua. If fact, all the speed hacks mentioned in the ui are exposed in lua for exactly this reason.
