Um, no. Could you have at least completed the game? Are you aware that this (and most baseball games) end when a team has a 10 run lead at the end of an inning. Just score 1 more time and then do some fun stuff to get 3 outs on the bottom of the inning. 2-player is kind of nice but it means you can't exploit the AI which can be fun . But you also don't do interesting things with player 2. Like if you want a player on base you simply neglect to throw the ball. How about time it so the ball gets there like 1 frame from getting the runner out? There is so much more you could do with this concept. Why not steal a base or two. And if you were going to do something like this, RBI baseball is probalby a better choice as it has a much larger following. And it has several exploitable quirks. I made test run of the game. It was about 3min 30sec, 1 inning, did all sorts of exploits against the AI, and explioted some bugs in the game. But I didn't submit because I thought it could be better and I thought even a better version would be very good. A nes baseball game is just a bad idea.

I vote yes. It has a good amount of strategy and tricks/glitches. The concept was interesting and the levels entertained me. I found the levels to have enough variety that it did not get too repetitive for me.

Granted that movies cannot be unpublished (at least at the moment of writing this paragraph), having a worse run published doesn't mean a judge should accept sub-par movies." Also, there is a difference between a boring game and a boring TAS. Many games that people claim as boring have interesting TAS aspects, such as a suprising glitch, insane movements, counter-intuitive strategies that lead to faster results, or just general complexity in terms of optimization. This game has none of those. I believe you when you say it is optimal because I don't see it being very difficult to do so. The optimal solution is rather obvious. Also, the game lacks any kind of variety. As a result, this game is a bad choice for TASing. Barring any kind of "Excitebike Phenomena", this game seems doomed with respect to publication.

The score addresses (plural because it would be 3 bytes long), would be useful for running basicbot on tetris.

I redid all of episode 1, this time with low resultion and zoom. I improved every level and as a result this movie is 13383 frames (3.72 minutes) faster. Another bonus of changing the graphics resultion is that the bridge in fire 1 is not graphically messed up. While this is much faster, this is still our test run. So there are many things that can be improved.

SOCKO! I didn't see this one coming. I love how this game is seemingly simple but is actually very complex to optimize. Very big yes vote for this rather large improvement to what I thought was a near perfect run. Will there be improvements to the other storybook runs?

*slaps a yes vote into the pile* W&W is a much more pleasant experience without sound. Get a gem = jingle, go though a door = jingle, aaaaaahhhh! The gameplay is magnificent though.

I also agree it should be done on the SNES version. Or at least the U version .

That damage is on purpose. Don does more damage if he is under half health. So I get him to that state as quickly as possible.

I would like to see this done as well. Though I don't know how useful a bot would be. It will probably have to be done manually.

I vote no on the submission in favor of alden's .fcm. It is aesthetically much more pleasing (and also 6 frames faster?). But I am not sure how I feel about having a 19-5b movie. The current run is much more impressive.

Wow, very nice movie. Huge improvement and very polished looking. There were several suprising moments in the run, like some of your choices, the poor pwning of ortega :( and that medical herbs could do 252 damage on zoma :O Anyway, very big yes vote. The "life hands to lemons" saying is appropriate here. You managed to take an unmanipulatable RNG and manipulate the crap out of it. Much more so than I would have thought possible. At this point, most of the imrovement possibilities are minor and "risky" since they are smaller than the potential loss of some crappy RNG later.

I'm afraid the lack of rerecords shows in this movie. It could certainly be improved time-wise but also entertainment-wise. In one auto-scroller, you collected a set of 4 bouncing coins. Then, shortly after, you tried to get another set but only got 2 before they scrolled off the screen. This shows a general lack of planning ahead. Get all 4 or none. Otherwise, it just looks sloppy. Half of this game is auto-scrolling, you need to try to maximize that time in order to keep the audience engaged in the run. I had never played this game but I was excited about the possibility of an animaniacs game published on TASvideos (I love the cartoon <3). But I was disappointed. The non-scrolling levels are nice and the characters has a nifty dashing move which is always good for a nice TAS. But it has too many auto-scrolling levels, and these levels have a limited amount of possbilities for something interesting/novel. Also, it is sad that the slot machine only has 1 thing that is useful for TASing: the "hello nurse". This game would have a lot of potential if there were several types weapons/powerups available. Then the game would be a constant zipping through levels as fast as possible while simultaneously luck manipulating the slots to give you the right item at the right time. That would be very entertaining. However, the "hello nurse" is invulnerability, I would think that is useful SOMEWHERE in this movie. Also, you can still use the slots for entertainment purposes, especially in the auto-scrolling levels which need it. You should maximize getting coins and getting only "good" outcomes on the slots such as continues, lives etc. You should have at least manipulated away bad outcomes such as pinky, brain, etc. I think this submission is in need of improvement before it can be published. I think this game could be a TAS worthy game if a high quality TAS were made of it. (However, I am not 100% convinced of that). Sorry, but I am rejecting this submission. The movie does show potential though. I hope you continue on with future TAS endeavours.

I enjoyed this movie. It is fast paced, has variety, and has a lot of possibilities in terms of optimizations. The auto-scrollers are less entertaining by nature, but they don't seem to last long enough to get old. The TAS quality is good as well. At first, taking damage on that fish bugged me, but I saw that you did refill your health too. Clearly it was intentional and thought out, but probably not the best thing to do. You don't want your audience questioning whether or not your movie was sloppy. All in all, I vote yes. I think it makes a good contribution to TASvideos.
