I have to vote no. This game has no action, a lot of japanese text, and some girls? I can't follow it, and don't think most viewers would either.

I don't get why some games get so many yes votes. For the record, I don't think this game meets TASvideos standards. It is a poor TAS. However, there seems to be some a lot of people who like it, and at least 1 really strong yes. I don't want to hear people whine about votes not mattering. I am accepting this for publication despite my strong urge to reject it.

Hard is the 2nd most difficult. It also has an "Impossible" setting. Settings only affect the number of days you have to find the sceptor and final score, IIRC. And of course in this TAS, effect nothing since he plays all of ~16 frames :P

I like this idea too. I would love to see TASVideos be the official record book too, without deviating from its main objective. In this category, stylistic choices wouldn't matter, movie categories other than any% (and perhaps 100%?) wouldn't matter. Judgement would be easy, so there wouldn't be a time commitment with it.
This won't happen here, since Bisq has made it pretty obvious that it is out of line with the goals of this site.
Actually, I have heard Bisqwit mention on more than one occasion the possibility of opening the site up to all games. Re: Warp Takes no Damage means "Taking damage could make the movie faster, but the author chose not to". All games with this tag mean exactly that (yeah, yeah, there maybe a few incorrect labels out there).

I think what we have here is another case where pushing a game too far as obliterated the concepts of style and class. The previous run had an optimum blance of speed and entertainment, and this run goes and destroys that with this boring frame whoring. but seriously, I vote yes, and lol. Also we have a new record in terms of submission text length vs movie run length. I've never seen 10 seconds of TAS so well documented ;P

Why should they wait for years for you possibly doing your run, when they could try to do it themselves? 3) Belittling others work. Pointing out possible improvements is one thing. But you are doing it with this "see, you just don't have the skill to do it perfect" attitude, and that is really crappy. Personally, I like to see others such as xeno making attempts at this game. I'd be willing to help (time permitting) in any way I can.

I'm not offended in the slightest by someone working on this game. I'd love to see a run of it :) And I haven't worked on it for 11 months, so I couldn't expect anyone to wait one me anyway.

The avi does desync the sound badly. Because the sound is already so whacky and I am unfamiliar with the game, I didn't notice. Anyway, I will re-encode and update the .avi ASAP.

When a borderline game gets rejected, why does it turn into a popularity contest debate? I reject this premise. Somewhere along the way an important point got lost. These "popular" games are entertaining and to people other than those who know the game well. They have all the good TAS elements that this site is looking for. What makes for a good entertaining TAS is often synonymous with what makes for a popular game too. This has some effect on the high volume of "popular" games published here. Another effect is that there are a lot of these games. How many mario games are there? How many splinter cell games are there? What does it hurt for more games to be published? 1) The direction of the site. This site was intended to show TASing as an art form. The TAS movies displayed on it demonstrate qualities. As a judge this is my primary concern with a movie. I don't much care about nostalgia, or how popular the game is (game, not TAS). Reread the FAQ stuff for more info on what elements I am talking about. 2) A high volume of borderline publications turns people away. The site thrives well because good movies are published. When people see a new publication that can be assured it meets a certain quality standard (usually). I don't see how lowering our standards helps the quality of the site. I think what mmbossman was getting at is that we have standards, and because of these standards, sometimes movies have to be rejected. You can go other places to get TAS movies, but if you want quality, you come here. My job is to make sure that is the case. I do care about voter/viewer response but I have high standards there. For TASvideos 72% is on the low end. And sometimes I(judges) go against votes. I (judges) have this power and will sometimes elect to use it rather than let a substandard movie pass (or a good movie be rejected). My apologies if this upsets you. To say votes don't matter is complete BS as well. If there were no voting system in place, I would have rejected daikatana and published the latest Ocarina of Time movie by JNX. But the votes on Daikatana were good so I went with the audience. And Ocarina of Time got a lot of opposition from voters, so I rejected it.

I would have gladly put your suggestion but you saved it as a .jpg (why? just use screencapture built into SNES!) either recapture from SNES into a .png (use 1.43v11 or later) or let me know which frame it was.

Having never played this game, I was surprisingly entertained by this. It has a lot going on compared to a typical RPG. And the menus are blazing fast and it is obvious a lot of luck is manipulated quickly. (Of course, I didn't watch the whole thing since I have no idea what's going on :P) Anyway, I give this a yes.

Well, a lot like the KQV submission. Except a fraction of the length, and fast menus. That makes it a lot more publish worthy. It is still a rather dull concept to me though. I'll give it a meh.

A rather borderline game for me. A large % of the run was standing in an elevator. The multiple gadgets/bells/whistles on the screen was kind of novel. Like a precursor to games like Metroid Prime. Though all this does if effectively shrink the gameplay. On the other hand it is short. And has some nice boss fights sway me over to the yes column.

I didn't expect 8-yes to be so interesting. I really enjoyed the concept of having a bird to "scout" ahead. That added a lot of interest TASwise. Easy yes vote.

Nostalgia is quite a power influence it seems. Having never played the game, this bored me to tears. From a TAS perspective it has nothing going for it. I don't see why the route couldn't be replicate it real time. Even the menu's are slow so they could be done about that efficiently. Also the graphics are rather unpleasant to look at. It lacks any good audio element as well. I'm surprised at the viewer response. I can't imagine what people are enjoying. Sorry, but this is a No from me.

Well, I had the same desync problems. For me it was the level four boss I think. The boss fights that I did see were highly dubious. Often there is time between when the boss gets done blinking and when you attack him again. Many of these times it looked like you could have easily hit him sooner. As far as the entertainment value of the game, I'd say it is pretty decent. A good quality run certainly be publish worthy. I highly question the use of ZSNES though. Seems to be a fine emulator for playing but lacks some really crucial tools/features/customizability required to make optimized TASes. Things like the inability to choose the name & location of movie files, frame display, input display, memory viewing. Unless I can get the movie to sync to the end, I can't make a decision on this run.
