This emulator is obsolete. Use BizHawk Yabause is a open source Sega Saturn emulator. The rerecording branch src can be found here http://github.com/adelikat/yabause-rr/ Yabause-rr is accepted and approved for TASvideos submissions, for now

Keep in mind the map screen is emulated really slow on desmume. This might be an interesting situation where a trick is slower due to the emulation problem, and therefore one would have to do the "suboptimal" technique and be obsoleted (hopefully) at some point in the future.

What's the technical problem with SC2? Desync? But we have already got at least one published movie that will always desync.
You can find FCEUX 2.0.0 here.

The accusations of bias over the rejection of the 14% run in the thread, ends now.

tmont's NES Crystalis http://tasvideos.org/1184S.html I honestly think we have the wrong category published for this game. This run is 9 minutes slower without using a debug cheat which would generally be frowned upon these days. The quality of the run isn't perfect, but for the most part it is done quite well. I believe this category should stand.
I forgot all about this one. Perhaps it could obsolete the rule breaking published movie? Maybe it wasn't an option then, but now that seems very reasonable.

Removed? Are you implying FCEU ever had this feature?

Why do you think playarounds were frowned upon then? Looks to me like it didn't entertain the audience, which is a pretty needed thing in an entertainment based run :P

http://dl-client.getdropbox.com/u/75355/adelikatv2-nsmb-5-3.dsm Here is mine up to 5-3. I am currently stuck trying to manipulate the hammer bros. to move to 5-G. Something is wrong with those mediafire links, I can't get the files, so I don't know how those compare to my WIP. Here is the ram watch file I am using: http://dl-client.getdropbox.com/u/75355/NSMB.wch

That isn't an option on any emulator. Though it wouldn't be hard to include, though I don't know why it would be something important to have displayed constantly. You could easily write a lua script to do this on FCEUX (or any lua Emulators)

You need to read the first post dude. The windows version of mednafen rerecording only runs PCE and NES games. The other platforms have not been successfully ported over (yet).

Or completely bypass the need for understanding commandline by using a frontend ;) http://code.google.com/p/mednafen-rr/wiki/MakingTAS

I wasn't aware my movie only syncs with 2.0?! There shouldn't be any sync differences between it and the new ones. I will look into that.

I appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Actually though, I was already aware of this problem when I did my Double Dragon 2 subtitles. Closing the emulator everytime is not that convenient but it works. I guess the whole idea of subtitles is becoming popular enough so I need to work on making it more convenient. What is happening (I think) is that the subtitle & comments vector are not getting cleared when a movie stops playing. Either that is easy to fix, or it will be a true pain. When the code was written it wasn't intended to be messed with in this way.

I guess I'll go ahead and share this: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1824076265/adelikatv2-tmnt-beginlv4.fm2 Last summer I began an improvement to my movie. Mainly because I had a trick in mind that never worked out. I got to level 4 and was 61 frames ahead. I lost motivation due to some bad randomness when approaching the ropes. The enemy's timing there is going to cost me about 30 frames unless I can find some way to manipulate it. Also, this game is rather tedious to TAS at such a tightly optimized level, so only having tiny improvements here and there to work with, this improvement wasn't very fun, so I keep putting if off. If anyone wants to pick up where I left off, be my guest. I might get back to it at some point but i have a lot of other projects that are higher on the priority list.

make a new ini and put that above mentioned line in it. That should do it.

You have a graphics card that doesn't support opengl2.0 and unfortunately crashes when attempt to open (one of my monitors behaves the same way). Open your .ini file and change to Renderer=2 and that should fix it.

This game breaks a record, the most gain from a damage boost in history. That is so lol that you can keep damage boost speed for multiple screens. Also, what a goofy game. Entertaining, nice tricky, yes vote and all that.

This is one of the old submissions that I think would be accepted these days. The fact that it is that popular on your site does point to the possibility that maybe it could/should have been accepted. I've been somewhat considering "unrejecting" a few submission from the past that I think have a good shot at publication these days.
