I took a new route; left, left, right, left ... I think this may be the optimum path. I got 4'03"77 this time... I want sub 4 :). I had that freaking desyncing problem again though, I have no clue what's going on :(

I did another run through Outrun, this time going left every time. One of the laps was like 58 seconds, so I'm guessing the optimum route isn't going left every time. Anyways, I got a better time of 4'11"55 with a score of 53,728,720. However, when I went to view my movie, it once again screwed up. On the second lap I made a tight move around a car and just barely made it by without hitting... in the movie though, I hit the car! I have the sound set to 44,000 kHz and didn't notice any stuttering of the video, what could be causeing this :( ??

I also did a speedrun for Outrun (before I saw this topic)... It's my first speed run so It's not perfect or anything, but I got 4'14"43 using the hyper speed code (hit C ten times at the start menu). My path was left, right, left, left. My last section was 46"21 :) I had some slow sections though that I'm sure better paths exist for. Except, I can't review my movie because it desynched :( . If you're interested in seeing the run, you can find the gmv file here http://www.people.virginia.edu/~avw6s/random/Outrun/ with the last savestate that worked with the movie (one that starts like 20 seconds from the ending).

How do I use this patch? I ran the .exe and told it the directory my Gens 2.12a was in and nothing happened! :( .... I still have no ability to make or view movies or to slow down the game or anything. Please help me.
