There is, DOOM gives you even harder enemies, I had forgotten about that. Reference: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/565038-jazz-jackrabbit/cheats

I thought the best GB emulators were meant to be cycle-accurate to console now? What changed?
This isn't necessarily a problem with cycle-accuracy but some edge-case nothing else trigger and is therefor not handled exactly the way it shall be. Just because they are the best doesn't mean that they are flawless.

Fixing the audio might be possible during encoding. I know that was done for one (temp) encode for a Windows game. And Pepsiman on PSX also had this done (mixing music afterwards). As long as the .wtf file syncs and the game works as expected, it shouldn't be a problem.

Well done! Just as entertaining as the original 6 episodes. I vote yes.

As expected this was extremely entertaining. Voting yes, and recommending that this shall obsolete the "Episode 1" TAS currently on site.

Interesting fight, how hard would it be to add some of his dancing-stance in there? Even if you cancel it to attack normally. When playing against the hardest CPU you are usually pretty vulnerable in that stance since you can't block. Otherwise it was a great fight.

Of course it shall be find to leave such things out if considerable progress has been made when such a thing is found. I however get the impression that the memory card bug JMC posted about is a fatal problem. If the hang is not fatal, then it can probably be excused.

I think there are already Worms Armageddon TASes for the PC version made with TAS tools specifically designed for the game.
There are and they are sick. Lex uploaded a collection a few years back.

Give Feos a chance to see the topic at least before debating whither to allow the cheat or not?

It's more important to look at the VPS/VIs than the FPS, not all games run at 60 FPS. But even if the VPS/VIs is low, it doesn't mean that there will be a problem with playback, it could simply mean that your computer is too weak to run that section of the game at full speed, which doesn't really matter in a TAS since you should not be running it at full speed. It is recommended to use original dumped DSP ROMs over the packaged ones though, so if you can find originals or dump them yourself from a Wii you should consider doing it.

Looks great, all that climbing over rubble before meeting Farah made me slightly dizzy due to how smooth it felt.

Looking good! And much more entertaining than Mukki's TAS.

This should not happen. You should test your hard drives (they almost surely support SMART) and maybe your RAM (with e.g. memtest86) while you're at it.
SMART tests can lie to you, they are unreliable. Seen many drives pass a SMART test but fail a full read-test horribly.

That was an interesting TAS. As a simple viewer a lot of these tricks are almost entirely invisible, including the health underflow triggering. The only thing obvious was the getting pushed through walls glitch. I was however entertained, so I say well done Samsara. I voted yes.

The awards don't work like this. Wait for the official nomination thread, which will show up next year.

Unfortunate. The fight is good as it is then.

Would it be possible to manipulate the final throw not to kill, and then end it all with a Moonsalut Bodypress without Ling getting up in between? If not, I think it's good as it is. King's moveset isn't really good for this type playaround, it's mainly chain throws and high damage. I do definitely think King shall make an appearance in the playaround though.

Don't worry about it, English isn't my first language either.

I'll take a look, but hooking Xinput is a little different than using it normally. Not sure how useful it could be.

I'm aware of broken Xinput but don't know how to fix it. Trying to fix timing every now and then when someone's around to help me test theories. If anyone wants to help, drop by the Hourglass IRC channel. (#hourglass on freenode)

I will try to look into this sometime because Xinput support is very handy. Personally for me this is not an issue of high priority as I am working on improving more pressing core functionality such as better windowing, timing, and save-states. Keylie is the one who knows Xinput best, he used a very similar implementation to TAS Super Meat Boy (timing issues prevent it from being possible to submit). He has unfortunately been quite busy with other things for a while.
