my new version : http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45676292775555702 All what I understood : - Press the controller button "B" to accelerate - you lose speed when you move down or up so minimize them - you lose more speed with moves when you are faster so move as soon as possible(do a move in two times if it's possible). - Oils slicks don't decrease your speed and the direction of the sliding is determined by your speed and where you touch it (What pixel). - you lose speed when you touch a bridge.

Ok I understood more things about the game's mechanic. I improved my test by 88 frames and I beat the World Record by 19ms (1:35.14 IGT). I'm working on...

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45647489183988102 Here we are, if someone wants to improve it, feel free ! I don't take the Oil slicks like in the WR run before the first bridge because it send me sliding up and in he WR speedrun, it send him sliding down... I don't beat the WR as well............

Ok, I just made a pre-TAS of the hardest level but since I don't know the game, I can let someone finish it if he wants because i won't do a good job at the moment...

I was looking for a TAS of this game. Is that game could be cool for the site? What could be the best one since the 4 difficulty levels of this game mean 4 different levels? Do you TAS it as Game 4 or all Game levels in one TAS?

ViGadeomes what Kasha asked was if they should've just gone with a submission replacement instead of a new submission.
It's what I understood x)

Considering what happened between this new submission and the older one I say you did the right choice on creating a new submission judging from the changes.
It's what I said but maybe in wrong words x).

No, you did great ! You change your submission for minor edits like less than 1 second. Here, there is too much changes.

Hello, Is it normal a submitter can vote for his own movie? One vote can change everything in the mind of judges to say if a movie go on Vault or on Moons x). I don't log in automatically if it's a bug.

I am curious as to whether this would obsolete my TAS. Both the same game, albeit different regions, and both are any% in their respective regions. And my TAS has a rather shaky rating at the moment.
I think we could keep these 2 runs and put this one as a special category. If the japanese version is fastess than the USA version without main skips here, Osse101 and you could redo your run on japanese version as co-author? It's only a suggestion.

Your point? The Mega Drive version of The Smurfs, by the same publisher (Infogrames), to cite one example, had French first, then English, then German. Nevermind the fact that this particular game was developed by a British company (Rebellion Developments Ltd.) (also, after re-checking, Spanish comes before French in this game)
It's like that, we can't change it or ask them why so...

For what it's worth, this game was only released in Europe. Kinda intriguing for an Astérix game to have German as the first language option, followed by English and then French, I must say.
Yeah, I didn't think about that. Infogrames and Bruno Bonnel are French but I think some germans worked on this game watching credits.

I can't put the video with the YouTube module, It tells me youtube error. I put you as extra editor on the submission if you thinks there are things to change... I know you waited too much.

Yea i know about other version of the game. When I was looking for a good version of the game I ran into a problem with sound, so i found the best version of ROM, checked whole game and bug at the end (to skip boss). Everything was fine.
Ok, I wanted to be sure this ROM was the closest ROM of the "original" game on NES. Also, temp encode (finally) : Link to video

I found other ROMs labelled [!] in the same zip of this one, are you sure ROM you used is the best one? The 3 ROMS labelled [!] look like the same game. Can you explain why did you use this one ? EDIT : I'm making a temp encode...

All what I had for my TAS was : * 000125 and 000127 for velocity * 0002AA and 0008F5 : when you are waiting when you cost these addresses are at 255, when you can press Y, these addresses will be between 0 and 16 and increase every frames. But I'm sure numbers aren't the result of the cost so you can search what it is about. * 011F25 : Ellen's heart I don't have something more.... I hope someone will propose my submission for Gruefood Delight but I don't ask you to do it xD !

You can also go for it if you are ready :). You can use my first day of the game because it's the fastess first day for now : http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/43933494788970103. I won't do this TAS with you I'm sorry but I can help you on RNGs. Weather, drop with the hoe in your field, question of Ellen (i don't know about other girls), drop of the cost and maybe most RNGs of this game are only on frames. I don't have these addresses. Weather : go in your bed and go watch TV for the next day if you are not happy come back to the previous day and put your last "A" input one frame after etc... Something I saw but i'm not sure : if you manipulate the first day on sun, i think you won't need an other manipulation and sun will be the first frame possible. Drop by the hoe : every square of the field are on the same rng, result won't change if you use the hoe on your top, left, right or down. When the character do an animation, you can begin your next input on the last frame of the animation. Also, on the first day with my WIP, you'll have a rainy day. If you want to change this like me in my Valentine's fool, manipulate it when you leave the village or you'll have desyncs if you do it before. I don't know what I can tell you more about what i know... I think, like other people, the only good TAS is Best ending/"100%". Good luck if you go for it and I can help you but I'm not sure I'll be helpfull, also you can watch the WR of g33koftrades on this category (At the beginning, my TAS was for him, it was his "RNG" route) : Link to video

I'm not offended with a 'meh' vote; I'm actually surprised as I expected mostly 'no' votes on entertainment.
I can't vote "no" if I don't see any obvious mistakes. I know the work behind and I can't say it's not entertainning if it's faster than a human can do x). Speed is the last criterion of entertainment, but it's just my opinion. I said it wasn't very entertainning for the main definition of entertainment on the site.
