Plus, in order to get the Platinum times on most levels, you need the Crash Dash, which isn't obtainable until after you clear Cortex. If your goal is to "only" get Gold Relics, is that possible without the Crash Dash?
That is why I also mentioned a NG+ approach for a 105% tas on this.

Make it case by case. Like for example, it looks really impressive in runs like these where the input ends way before it's supposed to.
Even this tas and my own one ended early because no input was needed to skip "Ripto Defeated" or the score screen. Maybe a list of early endings is something to look into. And we cannot forget, tas runs start from frame 0.

Agree, maybe a team for Crash 3 is probably a good idea, posting our SRAMs together to beat this game.

I'm just questioning this before voting. You mentioned that you did it before the halt of snes9x, but, did you talk to Nach about it, just incase you were finishing it late?

But Platinum is more impressive, so in a submission, getting Platinum relics instead of gold ones would be a valid Speed/Entertainment trade-off.
Platinum would change the run to a "105% all Platinum Relics" which becomes a pain in the ass because you need to spend more time lining up a lot of stuff and being able to destroy all current records (Like I've done XD) Honestly Crash Warped should be this: - any% - 105% - 105% - Platinum and maybe a NG+ Edit: There is about (I may be wrong) 18-22 of the 30 levels that you can get Platinum as it's basically every platform level (and 2 bike stages). Also Orient Express and Midnight Run are more crazier when it's Gold Relic.

Nice, but why do you get any time boxes at all? Can't you just use that wallriding technique all the way? Or actually, is the ingame timer very close to the limit at which you get gold relic, which is needed for 105% completion?
Platinum relic (scroll up) (+ Beats WR sub 15) (beatable 14:xx <- working on it soon (also I knew that I could beat it)) 27.80 is- *reads edit* yea~ that.
Hutch wrote:
Edit: So there must be a place where you could miss another 3 seconds worth of time boxes and save more real time by doing more wallriding I'm sure.
Hutch wrote:
Edit2: Huh, after all that you already knew yourself, haha. You could also miss out another box I reckon, with more optimization, and that 1-2 seconds space on the ingame timer.
Yeah obviously the first 2 second one which I can easily loose, like I mentioned I grabbed it for safety. I cannot miss the 1 and 3 second clock or else the run will end. (The up high and near end one) First box might be a good one to miss, as it's only 1 second. ^Or the one before the 2nd 2 seconds box, as that's a lean and then do the wall riding. (better choice)
When Bizhawk finally adds Playstation I will be grinding more time on this trying to get it to perfection. I should point out I did a clip at the 31 second mark (of the video) it actually warps Pura and Coco further a bit. And not a single edit was made :P

The lack of plugins in PSXjin made it impossible to play any of the Abe's games in it. Let's hope the PSXHawk comes along to fix this issue.
Oh~ I knew the issue of psxjin, I was pointing out to Warepire that it's still allowed to be used (especially for something like this)

anyways, this is what I did for Orient Express, as if it was a 105% tas. I chose saving time over... saving INGAME time, which means I got Gold instead of platinum. Link to video Platinum Relic (also improvable)

If I'm encoding this again (most likely), warn me before you make a new run, which could possibly be 2 minutes long (if it's possible to kill more time). <3 I have no further comment besides...

2nd that. Yes vote, since it's faster than the dud and it's more closer to the vba version (which in sense makes it faster obviously)

What irony? MlP is clearly for men; it has the color of pink in it! Even with a man's game such as Predator knows that! You know the plot. A special forces team led by Alan "Dutch" Schaefer dressed in hot pink go on a mission to rescue hostages in central America. .... What?
Name one pony on the show (no OC) that has either Spinach as their cutiemark or eats Spinach. I'm very upset. I like Purple :P and black

On Australian TV Boomerang (Which is Cartoon Network retro shows and kids shows from 9am - 2pm) They are showing My Little Pony marathons on Saturdays & Sundays 9am to 2pm. The only thing I'm upset about on all this is they got rid of Popeye which I used to watch every 12am.... to My Little Pony, there has to be irony or something in that.

I think you mean the bounce direction of fishes desyncs, which caused by a different in-game timer value. So if you removed that 1 frame and it syncs, it means there was an extra 1 frame in the file or the emulator had an extra lag frame.
Does this still count if only 1 frame at the very beginning was removed/skipped?
I only tested when converting #3413: Masterjun's SNES Super Mario World "game end glitch" in 02:36.40 to BizHawk. Since I had to apply 3-4 empty frames for the lag sections (4 at the start of the game, 3 at start of 1st level, 3 at level selection screen etc), I got a different fish bounces. Yes, this still counts if only 1 frame at the very beginning was removed/skipped.
For example most of the Super Mario 64 tas had to be tweaked due to a ton of desync.

So basically every time I do a room, I should replay the video I've recorded? If so, that would mean I'd have to play the entire video from the very start every time... or can I just do "start recording" and load the save state at the beginning of the room and it'll run fine?
When re-watching what you do is have a savestate at the start of your next session.

Aight, so I finally got dolphin working on KRtDL and I can finally work on some TAS's. I've been primarily focusing on doing actual speedruns of metroid fusion 100%, and getting back into full speedruns of KRtDL 100% itself (my WR sucks), so there won't be tooooo much TAS activity... But I do want to try out a test TAS (maybe just any% level 1-1) Any tips on TASing for someone new to TASing? How to export a video out of a .dat file? This game is relatively unbroken and simple, and I seriously doubt even TAS skills will introduce really interesting things, but you never know. I'll have to experiment with wing and such a bit...
