Just a note: Randil's tas is 034700 points xxNKxx tas is 049490 points xxNKxx tas is 049630 points I'm going to come back with a vote in a bit when I have a better understanding about this game and understanding the exact reason it's 30 seconds slower than the lesser points tas. (So I'll be comparing for quite a bit) WELCOME NK!

Well CoolKirby is the man behind editing all the "unexplainable" TODO's for the Movies... so go and do what Nitro wrote.

I'll do it!... what is the correct re-record amount anyway?

All consoles on BizHawk run at 30-50fps for me, not SNES alone.

If the hole in question is the one between the starting platform and the exit portal, they put an invisible wall there. If not you could just do a zig-zagged normal jump to cross the gap.
Right~ I keep forgetting that there is a hidden wall there in both dimensions... unless you are above or below it.

So what you're saying, is if this didn't have the constant spam (compared to DS POINT BLANK) it would be considered to Moons. Feos if this didn't have the constant spam of sfx would it go to Moons?

So another 2 levels done... firstly that's almost 2 times bigger your re-record count compared to Mukki's. Jaws of Darkness is nicely broken with that double jump glitch. Camera Glitch <3 I noticed you paused for a bit to recover spin, so really not much could be done, if someone tried to perfect it they will get themselves into the same problem. Castle Machinery Lives collected 3, also thank you for right curving instead of going all the way to the right just to jump on the podium (The ace in the hole). Green Gem FTW (and the LOLs)! Question can you Double Jump that hole? So now Brio is next then The Labs, the shortest level ever for any% and Cortex. I hope you break Brio and Cortex. Time: 0:33:11 (Compared to ~0:42:15 at the same point) Also pointing out Marcusboy95 has gotten a time of 0:39:35 on the NTSC-U version. Executed well but not at complete potential.

The tas was using manipulation with the text (also throwing abuse to the viewer). And creating ironic phrases/words within the game.

The DEsMuMe is not compatible with 3DS games (including Lego the Lord Of the Rings and Scribblenauts Unlimited) I'm sorry but if you wanna record videos you are going to need a Capture Board for 3DS.
Hi Captain Obvious! (had to) A Capture Board is what we aren't looking for that's something for SDA. (Oh and to let you know, they already know about this) Here at TASVideos we use emulators to do what the human cannot... Go through each frame of the game for a period of time to perfect and get completed in the fastest amount of time, then learning a glitch then using that to beat it faster and faster and than it becomes like Super Mario Bros. by Happy Lee where the game is done to perfection. 3ds is something that won't be in the works for maybe another 6 months maybe more or maybe less and it can probably be like the psp emulators, 3 dev teams later we finally get one that is the most accurate and can run a wide range of psp games (ppsspp). Desmume team is most likely working hard for 3ds emulation probably even other teams. And to clarify, here at TASVideos we do not use consoles unless it's for verification. "Here at TASVideos, we strive to push games to their limits. The emulators we use allow for undoing mistakes, slow-motion gameplay, and even in some cases utilizing robots to do our bidding."

Isn't Spike able to encode his own run?
I won't be able to, Croc is preventing me to do any large encodes (by large I mean 6gb+) and the encode to the 240p was actually converted down quite a number of times and from memory if scaled up it would hit around 7gb and I cannot waste more space on the storage (especially with what happened with Crash Bandicoot which is still "uploading/processing" and basically that was a waste of space).

I got it to work by resetting the emulator and actually I got the opposite way. My keyboard wasn't showing input. Try removing the ini file and try again that worked for me.

Yes, just to piss off feos (not really) I actually like what you did even though there was too much of that jumping sfx that killed it a bit for me. Loved the syncing with the music. I hate bizhawk, see line one.

Emulators could record input by default and save them often as one big timeline
I don't think that's a good idea because those files might get large. A better idea is that if the emulator is recording, it very visibly shows that (eg. with a blinking "recording" symbol.) That way if you are not recording, you will clearly see it.
Or use lua
if movie.active()~=true then gui.drawbox(29,29,140,39, "red") end
if movie.active()~=true then gui.text(35,31, "!! MOVIE NOT RECORDING !!") end
Agree, in my Salaryman tas I ended up wanting to die because I was at an unforgiving level (Microphones). MUGG solution is the best.

So SDA updated today (17th/18th April 2013) and it has an update of VVVVVV which uses 2.0 (run was submitted 2012-12-23) So now I have a question. Turska: How much longer do we have to wait? And is this whole dispute of which version to use over now? (Also question what version did Cave Story use isn't that an old version too?)

Or as a summary: basically, it's hard and time-consuming to get a high-quality video of an N64 run.
(Clarifying) Mupen and PCSX-rr take a bit of time to actually encode due to their plugins and their rates of desync. Aktan could also possibly have finished with the uploading but YouTube might still be processing it (DAMMIT YOUTUBE FINISH CRASH ALREADY!). But he must be rendering still. He usually makes different sizes for everyone to enjoy and I don't see that anywhere on this forum.
