Yep, you need to do a trick like this a lot: -Song of Time Storage (play the song of time while voiding out, so the game knows you need to do it but the message box isn't opened yet) -Kill a boss -Open the song of time prompt -Pick up the remains, then say 'yes' to the song of time, then reset This skips the cutscene where you meet the giants but you still get the remains.

^ any% was rerouted about 5 days ago and now both intermissions are saved. I assume this would save time in the TAS, too. http://twitch.tv/fieryblizzard did the new run and http://twitch.tv/iceflinger is the one who rerouted.

OTOH, this is an instant huge improvement to real time any% runs, but it requires you to be playing on PS1, so it will probably be its own category.

For anyone interested in a commentated Tails Adventure run, finally here it is: http://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/comments/1ui4dn/agdq_vods_thread/celhqnr (ctrl+f for tails adventure then click on the timestamp) boredeathly and werster explain glitches, techniques and room strategies. Note that boredeathly uses the route where you get extra armor, but in an any% TAS you would of course skip it like the any% WR. I think this is currently the best source for learning how speedrunning this game works, because no one else runs it right now besides these two people.

SGDQs always raise less money than their respective AGDQs - so expect that. AGDQ2015 though, I'm sure Uyama will shoot for 1.5 million. We'll see. It can't grow exponentially forever, but I think we still have room for growth.

Sure, but think about it in terms of how many people were watching. Let's say 50000 people watched Halo 2 all the way through. 3000/50000 means that if everyone were to pay admission to watch legendary difficulty the fee would be 6 cents. The prices to meet incentive grow in step with the crowds at the venue and watching on twitch.
