What frame is that "New Richter skip" at? Can't pick a good screenshot.
The screenshot should have Alucard being flung leftwards with Richter in the frame.

Link to video I think this kind of Atari game is not TASable yet? But it would be extremely cool. Here in this video the player has to be meticulously careful around everything due to the dangerousness of enemies and the size of his hitbox. But a TAS could do an intricate dance, carve the tightest path possible, care little for lasers that might turn on, etc. It would be short and sweet and completely inhuman.

I would rather see a Duke Nukem II [DOS] TAS. Effort much better spent!

Now I'm confused, but I loved it, too. Well, I'm not insane, not yet, so Yes vote, to both of you guys.
He means it was slower but it wasn't slow enough to lose a 21 frame rule. (If you don't know what this means, the game can only advance to a new stage every 21 frames on a global timer, so you can only gain or lose time in 21 frame increments.)

Here's the #1 tip: Be iterative. Don't set out to make the absolute maximum hyper optimized TAS on your first pass through the game. Make a test-run where you don't try to be perfect but just fast/no obvious mistakes, do glitchhunting and routing/strat finding, try to improve the testrun, etc etc until you have a nice final product. (#2 tip is: Share WIPs and lasoo someone into proofchecking them and butting heads with you for routing/optimization ideas, because a second head can see what the first misses)

Since the game is so short, why not write a bot to rapidly try variations on good paths and record the fastest one? Or would a bot never find the god strat?

Oh, I see. Lots of sites require the user to have some kind of "fidelity" to the comunity before one can download, or upload something to the site. Isn't it time to adopt something similar here? For example, you must have that amount of posts before you're able to submit a movie, or you must vote in a certain number of runs. I know a troll can also post and vote, if his main objective is "trolling", but it may discourage some of them.
Disagree. Many of our best TASes are from Japanese TASers who are not interested in posting in the forum, but we appreciate their work very much regardless.

Oh, there HAS to be a glitch that causes the game to crash first ?? thats truly the only way to get started with Arbritary Code Execution ?? darn. Cause i dont think theres any glitches to crash megaman 3. :(
Either crashing or memory corruption/editing (like Symphony of the Night)

From the description, 'Stage 11 just keeps looping so there is technically no end to this game.'

You may as well do it as often as possible if it doesn't waste time! If people want to see the game as intended, that's what longplays are for, after all.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xuaxnkdaxp5fiha/54539_FINISHEDWORLDMAPHALF%203200.png Here's a version of your map that fits under gamefaq's 400kb limit. Steps: 1) Load in Paint.net 2) Resize to 3200x3200 3) Save as a png with 8-bit colour depth and 0 dithering 4) Run it through optipng which losslessly compresses PNGs It's possible that some other program/method will compress it even further.

Dropbox and Mediafire also work if you don't expect them to be extremely high traffic.

Prepare to be disappointed, then. The game is severly broken, has all kind of (bad) glitches, but most importantly, is so broken that it is completely unplayable in every emulator (except hhugboy), so it isn't even possible to make a TAS of it as of yet.
How can a game be so broken that cycle-accurate emulators can't emulate it? That is impressive.

Tell us about it, then. What is notable about it? Would it make a good TAS, and if so, why? Are there any notable glitch/playthrough videos on youtube/elsewhere?

Er, all right then. Collect the Bunny Hood in as little time as possible.
Alrighty then i will do that. Edit: where should i start from?
A savefile after just finishing cycle 1 is the usual place.
Can i have items already or do i have to TAS me buying them too
Whatever makes it more interesting to watch.
