Hmm, I don't know. It works for me on XP SP3 and it works for Lex on Windows 7 so I guess it's not an OS thing.
The way this computer works is a little different to the way you'd expect - for instance, google chrome crashes if you edit through a save as dialog after closing it only on this computer.
Could you try it again with Hourglass r57 (and without carrying over your .cfg file to the new version or changing any options from their defaults)? When you play the movie in that version, a dialog will appear telling you that the movie was recorded in an older version and asking a question. Try answering both Yes and No on separate playbacks and see if either works. Also check to see whether setting "Runtime > App Locale > Force Japanese Locale" has any effect.
Yes: 6141 timer vs 6037 No: No desync happened That was easy :)

If you have Windows on your computer (or some other computer you can use), it should be easy to watch the movie directly, and the quality will be much better than on Nicovideo or Youtube.
  1. download the game, iwbtgbeta(fs).exe
  2. download the movie file, IwbtgGlitched.wtf
  3. download the "emulator", hourglass-r51.zip (or newer) and unzip it
  4. open hourglass.exe
  5. click "Browse..." on the bottom-right and browse to where you put iwbtgbeta(fs).exe
  6. click "Browse..." on the top-right and browse to where you put IwbtgGlitched.wtf
  7. click the "Run and Play Existing Movie" button on the bottom right, and wait a bit

Super Meat Boy is on top of my list of TASes I want to see. A Meat Boy only run though, going through every level with Najia would be mostly boring.
Disagreed. High level Najia play is incredibly difficult and amazing.

Seems like bad game choice.
Cave Story? No way. It has acceleration, booster usage, damage boosting, interesting TAS-only glitches and tricks and nostalgia.

I once asked if this could support flash games. If I TASed an .exe that played .swf files (I'm not sure I know one), wouldn't it work and be considered valid? Has anyone played around with this? I could do a wicked TAS of Give up, Robot (2).
You mean like flashplayer_10_sa_debug.exe ?

For a TAS, I think 100% would be the most interesting in this game, simply for Hell Temple alone. That said, the route planning would be a nightmare. Whoever has the guts to do it, my hat's off to you.
Over at SDA there are 100% and low% runs being planned and executed, and their routes have been posted to 'commandeer'. ;)

I noticed in world 5 the jump to the third stone was -started- when it appeared as opposed to finished. Could that be changed to save a fraction of a second?

I'm not an expert on the scientific issues, but I've read several articles linking fluoride and certain vaccinations to brain damage and autism.
Cite.
Many products that are on the market today are known to cause cancer, the most obvious ones being tobacco, certain food products, etc, and if the FDA isn't taking these things off the market, then they aren't doing their job.
Tobacco's pretty heavily regulated. It's worth noting that almost EVERYTHING is carcinogenic to a small extent. Banning any particular foodstuff to prevent cancer deaths is a fool's errand.
That said, as I've said before, it's very hard to debate these things without a scientific background as I don't know who to trust. I just have a very hard time believing a government that supports the "War on Drugs" has any interest in my health.
I'm not a fan of the war on drugs either, but don't throw the baby (government regulation) out with the bathwater (government policies that suck and need to be changed democratically)

Every game by mattmakesgames, minus the flash ones Crimsonland Garden Gnome Carnage. Unfortunately it's an endless game, but a superplay would be EPIC Icy Tower - Who remembers this game in high school? Not sure what the goal for a TAS would be though, good game for showing off still Operation: Inner Space - this would be lol to TAS since gameplay depends upon the entire contents of your hard drive. imagine verifying a run like that! 20000 Light Years Into Space - winning is trivial and I can do it consistently, doing it as fast as possible or with as high a score as possible however isn't Warning Forever - create a scarily huge boss and massacre it Within a Deep Forest - scary amounts of movement optimization for a TAS Skifree - show that yeti who's boss once and for all! Jezzball, Pipe Dream, Rattler Race, Rodent's Revenge - all from the Windows Entertainment Pack

Sir Fortesque seems to wobble all over the place, I bet there are plenty of frames to be squeezed out through optimization. Path looks very good though, and I was entertained. Especially at how you 'cheated' the final battle army vs army fight into being winnable without the Good Lightning like it's supposed to require. :D
